This campground while large, is unkempt. The covered fishing pier is filthy, the walls and ceiling and hand rails are layered in spider webs and inches of dirt and dust and insect larvae. We saw several large water snakes in the tires hanging on the posts in the water. The bathrooms and showers are disgusting. The water on this end of the lake is so rough due to the constant wind that you'll get soaked in a fishing boat. The cabins are basically shacks and appear boarded up from the outside. It turns out those are wood shutters on the inside of the windows. There are so many cobwebs and spiders on the outside of the buildings I can't imagine sleeping in them. This campground is in need of some serious attention. With a little TLC and a good powerwasher and some remodeling of the nearly un usable showers and restrooms, this could be a great family spot.

The sites for the most part are very tight for a large fifth wheel. Campers park trucks and golf carts right next to the road which leaves zero room to maneuver. Golf carts buzz by everywhere even on the boardwalk which makes it necessary for pedestrians to move so they can squeeze by. There are ants and stickers everywhere and although there are two pools they are packed all the time and they are small. The beach is so so, you are allowed to drive on it and there is a lot of trash on the beach itself. Perhaps on a non holiday weekend this would have been better? There are some larger spots but those mostly seem to be dedicated to snowbirds. The people are friendly for the most part, but the gentlemen on golf carts by the front office are grumpy and unhelpful. Some assistance getting our large trailer into their very small site (which I questioned the staff about BEFORE we came), would have been most welcome. As it was we had to ask our neighbors for help and asked another neighbor to move their truck so we wouldn't hit it trying to make our turn. Three people came up to shake my husbands hand the next day. Hardly a relaxing vacation dodging golf carts and picking up trash on the beach.

Yawn. Sorry but there is really not much to do here. The jumping pillow was fun for about 10 minutes and the bike rental is handy since there is lots of pavement to ride on and a nearby state park. The laundry room was efficient and the staff was helpful. The sites were wide with no trees. The beach was close by but it's cold and windy, the aquarium was a joke but worth the admission to see the seals beg for sardines. We'll skip this next time when visiting Oregon.

The rates are very high. I'm not a fan of indoor swimming pools they seem to have a lot of chlorine so we avoid them. This one seemed okay lots of rowdy kids seemed to enjoy it. The campground otherwise was well managed but a little far from Yellowstone it was about a 40 minute drive. Our site was on a hill and for the $75 we had a fire ring and a picnic table and only 30amps. Next time we'll camp somewhere else.

This is a very nice park. There are big sites with view of a pond. It's close to the Silverton train ride and Mesa Verde. The train ride was very long I would take the bus for the return trip, otherwise it's a don't miss activity. The flowers and landscaping were awesome. The staff was friendly and they had a nice dog walking trail. We stayed 2 nights in a 40 foot motorhome with 3 kids and 2 dogs, everyone was happy. The pool was clean and everything looked like it was in prime condition. We will definitely be back.

We actually stayed here in 2007 but went back to check it out to see if it was better this year. We call this campground the "Land of NO". If you are not a member you are assigned to a hill overlooking the campground. You are not allowed to use the facilities but you can pay lots of money for the paddle boats if you like although I didn't even see the boats this year. The restrooms were clean enough and it is closer to Yosemite than Yosemite Pines and it does have gravel and is less dusty but overall this is a depressed campground fences are in need of repair and it looks like no one has been taking care of the place. Yosemite is so beautiful you might forget the lackluster of this campground just don't expect much when you stay there.

We came in at night on highway 120 which the campground recommended. It was VERY scary. We have a 40 foot motorhome my husband actually kissed the ground when we got there. This campground is all dirt. Our site was TINY and short and sloped so much on the sides there was no room for our chairs or a picnic table. Basically this was a mound of dirt with hookups. When I asked if we could move I was told "NO" even though just the previous day I had been assigned a different site and decided to extend so they moved me. I guess that was a Big mistake. We were there for 4 days I kept looking around thinking maybe if we were in a different site I could review this better. Nope. The dust, the staff, the laundry room the distance from Yosemite it all factored in to my score. The staff on arrival was "prickly" and I'm a happy go lucky type! This is a good distance from Yosemite took us about an hour to get to the valley floor. The laundry room had 2 dryers that worked, 4 washing machines with one that was broken. When we asked if they could be fixed the lady in the office said that is not their responsibility they contract that out. The grocery store and restaurant next door in town were excellent. Just stay somewhere else.

This campground is under new management and ownership. It is in the process of becoming a membership campground. We had camped here before when it was a KOA and we were very happy with it. Now, the sites are smaller and there are more cabins on the river. The river sites are all back in and they are very close together. Our site was so close to our neighbor in fact that our awning was nearly touching their slide out and their sewer connection was under our awning. Yuck! If you are not on the river I would pass this one up. The staff was very nice but I would never pay a yearly fee to camp here.
