Great location for visiting Charleston. Huge park, nice people. The only issue is no cable and trees could be issue with your satellite dish. I wish the county would pave the sites.. Sites are extremely sandy and some are very low ( hold water). If it has been raining, cruise the place and select site.

Great place for an overnight stop. Very friendly and helpful owner. Pull through spots are nice and long. I continue to stay at this park, which is much nicer than the national brand campground in a nearby town.

This is my fourth time to stay here. The place easily gets a 10 out of 10. It is hands down one of the nicest campgrounds in America (top 10) that I have been to. Be aware that you must arrive at the campground prior to dusk, or you will be placed in a holding area until morning. The sites are great with a lot of trees and nice concrete to park on. Some sites are more updated than others, as the park ages. Also, some sites are more shaded than others. I like the spots across from the tennis court in that area. Also try a new reasonable restaurant that is great, called Annie O's right outside the resort.

I started staying here over 20 years ago, and Admiralty was a great campground then, but not now. Place continues to get more run down every visit. Place is not very big rig with slides friendly; spaces are too close even though now you park on the site next door (shared) with another site. Asphalt on interior roads has gone to pot and holds water for days, and the result is the birds play in the water and mess everywhere. We will stay at another park next time.

Nice campground. Be advised that if you are heading west on Highway 2818 Harvey Mitchell, you can NOT turn left into the campground. At the traffic light just past the campground, turn right on Holleman Street and then immediately turn around in the parking lot of a Wendy's and Subway (good amount of room). Then turn left and take the access road into the campground. The campground staff is very nice. Park is very clean

If you have stayed at the park in awhile the entrance has changed. It is on 30A but is closer to Hwy 98. Park is great, but no Wi-Fi. AT&T and Verizon cards work well . Park is one of the nicest in America. Rather than using coach washing machine went to their laundry, it was bad.

This park in my opinion is a great location for a big city. 2/3 of spots are long full timers, however, the pull thurs are great. 15-20 to Galleria, the same to Western Houston. Sugarland just down US-59.

Campground remains one of the nicest in the USA. They are building more chalets. Wi-Fi is weak in the park including Verizon broadband card on spots next to the river. I enjoy this place!

I stayed at this park for the world class Christmas lights that they have. My third trip at Christmas to see them. Great interior roads, gravel/dirt campsites. My only issue with this campground is that the county needs to work on getting concrete pads at least at some sites. However, this is the place to stay when visiting Charleston.

Stone Mountain and the area around it is beautiful. However, campground has gotten old and dated. The only sites to choose here are the ones right in front of the office and I will go one step further the ones that back up to the lake. I say the lake, since these sites were the most level and had best drainage. Forget the sites not in front of the office, which includes pull-thrus. They are the most unlevel sites I have ever seen. I tried parking on two different pull thrus and could not get level. Roads in this area are very narrow, your mud flap will drag, etc.

I stayed at this park two weeks after staying at Meridian East KOA (read my reviews of it). This park is not bad at all for a night or two stay. Very easy to get to, wide interior roads, concrete pads (owner should have made them wider). Used the laundry, extremely clean. Only real issue is campground is in the bald open, so no summer shade.

One of the nicest campgrounds in America, hands down. Nice staff, nice sites, great roads, etc. It does not get any better than this !!! Great restaurants are right at your back door. Note they are renovating their laundry room in January 2009 and so it is unavailable.

First off-- Be careful or you will miss the turn into the campground. You turn just to the left of the Chevron gas station. Good interior roads, nice gravel sites. Not bad for one night

Extremely narrow roads from the I-20 to the campground while passing a junk yard that has junk out on the road. The manager of the campground, Pat, is not very friendly. Had cones blocking interior roads to the camp sites from the office . I had to move them. It does not take much rain to make this place a true mud hole. Very narrow turns, ruts in the roads that hold water. In my 38 years of having RVs this is one of the worst campgrounds I have ever stayed at.
