BLM-Pilot Knob Camping Area, Winterhaven, California

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was fast and friendly. There weren't many RV's in the park so had no problem getting a spot we wanted. Restrooms/Showers are clean with two showers and two sinks. There is no cable and when I asked about WIFI I was told there was a hot spot in the office, but they didn't know the password two different days when I asked so I don't know if it was good or not. They are fixing up a few things around the park and painting the shower building outside. The laundry has 4 washers and 4 dryers. There is no cart to take clothes from washers to dryers. The roads are dirt and dusty. The sites are a bit of gravel and they say they are planning to put more gravel on the sites. There is a cement patio at the sites. Most sites are open with no trees, but a few have small trees. There are trains within hearing distance running several times a night and we experienced helicopter traffic during the day periodically and one late night a couple times. The highway traffic is steady but not too loud. We camped at BLM-Pilot Knob Camping Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Ridgeview RV Resort, Bullhead City, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel sites, cement patio, WIFI is TERRIBLE. Don't depend on it. We had a tower on our site but no service. Tengonet says the park doesn't want to pay for more service. The park says Tengonet is no good. We have been in other parks with Tengonet and got excellent service, but never here.

The park was recently sold so is no longer a Sunrise park. It was sold to CRA. We still got the Sunrise benefits. The check in was friendly. The cable is OK. Gives a few channels. The sewer drains on lots of the sites are approx. 10-12" above the ground so to drain your sewer you have to keep lifting up the drain hose in order to have it drain. There doesn't seem any good reason for them to be so high. The new owners are doing a few things to make the park more attractive, but have yet to change the showers in the club house to make them "private." The showers and restrooms could use some better attention. We camped at Ridgeview RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff, quick check in. Clean showers and restrooms. Gravel sites, paved streets. Site not quite level but only took one block. Orange trees all around and during season you can pick oranges for your own use. Park is clean and neat and well kept. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA, Petaluma, California

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

Very poorly maintained. Price too high for what is offered this time of year. RV spot gravel and dirt and not level. Had to block up on two blocks to level. The mens restroom had a towel to wipe feet on before entering. Didn't use the women's restroom. The store had a can of Campbell's soup for $2.59. (way over priced) The RV spaces were quite tight. The WIFI and Cable were good. We saw a "petting zoo" and it appeared to have a young horse or pony there. It didn't look like there was much for the horse or anyone else to do. Would not stay here again, because of the price and the maintenance. We camped at San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Polson / Flathead Lake KOA, Polson, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was friendly. The pads are gravel and not quite level. We could only get water and electric because they were booked full. We felt the price was a bit high for not having a full hook up. Other than that, it is one of the nicest KOA's we have been to. The facilites were clean and neat. We stayed one night when passing through the area. We camped at Polson / Flathead Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff and clean facilities. Our spot was level. The parking is close to the neighbors but we had room to park at ours, and plenty of room on one side. The train noise didn't bother us. We have stayed here before and will again. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Miles City KOA, Miles City, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The park owner is friendly, gives great service and a wonderful representative of the park. He has done so much with the park to improve it since he took it over. Facilities are clean, check in is fast, he treated us as valued customers. The parking areas are gravel and fairly level. We had a small patio, and a few new plants. Cable is great, Wi FI was great. We definately will stay here again. The park is being improved all the time since Kevin took over. We camped at Miles City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Osens RV Park & Campground, Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is the third time we have stayed here. The lots are long and gravel.Ours was not level, but only took one block to level the trailer. The restrooms and showers are clean. The cable is good, the WIFI slow, and the park is clean. We made reservations almost a month in advance and requested a place close to the showers/restrooms. We were placed 3 trailers away from those facilities. When we arrived a few minutes before 11:00 we were told check in wasn't until 1:00. We informed them we were never told the check in time when we made reservations. We said we travel early in the morning and usually check into our parks around 11:00 - 12:00. The lady that checked us in said, "You must not stay a very nice parks.". Then she said we could leave and call sometime after 1100 and see if the person in the spot we were assigned had checked out yet. We called about 11:30 and got voice mail. They called us back around noon and said we could check in. When we checked in we were told she just checked in three other early people. I made a comment that there were sure a lot of vacant spaces. I was told by the person checking us in, "They are for people that stay longer than 1 night.". The peson checking us in was not friendly, somewhat rude, and if she continues to use that attitude I would guess their business will diminish. We will not return again even though we always liked it previously and the people checking us in were very friendly previously and it is a nice park. We camped at Osens RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Wandering Spirit RV Park, Grand Ronde, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The cable is being changed over to digital and worked for some channels. When we tried to connect to WIFI we couldn't find a password on the paperwork given to us. We called the office and asked if we could get the password. Then we were told we probably couldn't get it from our site (#3 close to the office) but we could come up to the building if we wanted WIFI. We should have been given that information on check in along with a password to use if we went up to the building. We had stayed there previously and received WIFI from the same site before. We were not able to receive a signal at all even with an extender. The stantion where the cable is was broken and part of it lying on the ground. The majority of the tenants in this park are full timers. We won't stay here again. We camped at Wandering Spirit RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Little Creek Casino and Resort, Shelton, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Clean facilities. Have to go to the hotel to check in which is inconvenient. We could drive to the hotel with the 5th wheel attached and go through the valet parking area to check in. The sites are cement with grass. Most aren't long enough for the vehicle and 5th wheel, but there is parking across from the park. It would have been nice to have the cement pads a bit wider so a person could walk on them next to the trailer instead of the grass which you have to go through some mud, some standing water, etc. when it rains. Walking distance to casino. The hotel hostess said a person can call the hotel and ask for a shuttle to the casino if necessary. Check in was fast and friendly. We camped at Little Creek Casino and Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunrise Resorts-Copalis Beach Park, Copalis Beach, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

We called for reservations about 2 mo. in advance. We asked for a specific site. We were told if it was available when we came we could get it, but it couldn't be reserved. We arrived. The spot was not occupied but we were given another site even when we asked for the one we had requested. We were told it was not available. It was vacant for two days after we arrived before anyone was put in it. If they can't reserve it then why couldn't we have got it?? The park is not maintained like it previoiusly was. Apparently there were new managers about October of 2017. Now there is a cancellation fee also, if you cancel. We are Sunrise members. I would assume since we requested a certain spot, and told if it was available when we arrived that we could have it because they won't reserve anything in advance, that we could have had it. I believe the new managers need a bit more training. There is not the friendliness that the park had with the managers that had been here for about 16 years. We camped at Sunrise Resorts-Copalis Beach Park in a Fifth Wheel.
