Sparks Marina RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for two months while working at Amazon.com in Fernley, NV. The park is immaculate, and well maintained. They sell propane on site ($2.75/gallon as of December 2014). Their WiFi is lighting fast, and reliable. The jaccuzzi is open year round. We will stay here again. The rate I show is the monthly rate negotiated with Amazon, which they paid. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

W.H. Lyon Fairground, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park is exactly what it is advertised to be...fairgrounds...and for that I give it a 7. No frills, but you get full hookups with reliable power, and water pressure at a fair price. Close to downtown, and easy access from the Interstate. This is our second time here, and we would stay here again. We stayed 9 days this time while visiting friends in the area. We camped at W.H. Lyon Fairground in a Motorhome.

Tahoe Valley RV Resort, South Lake Tahoe, California

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We love the rustic feel of this park, and even though thick with tall, mature pine trees we managed to find a spot with a view of the southern sky for our satellite dish. They also provide cable TV at most sites. Our site was pretty level. Very friendly staff. Not far from the "Y" and retail stores, restaurants, etc. We stayed in Section "E" in site 426. Would stay here again. We camped at Tahoe Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Desert Rose RV Park, Fernley, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Spent two days and two nights at this park. Good management, well maintained, and very accommodating! Nice laundry, clubhouse, and WiFi. We are 62' long and fit into their pull site perfectly....not an inch to spare. Close to downtown Fernley. Verizon cell phone coverage is spotty at the park, but okay in Fernley. Would stay here again. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Elko RV Park At Ryndon, Elko, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This park is composed of mostly permanent residents, but the maintenance is quite good. It is obvious to me that they take pride in their park's appearance. They do keep in reserve a few spots for overnighters like us. The Wi-Fi works great....I am typing this review using their WiFi from site 53. The staff were courteous and efficient. Our check in took less than 5 minutes, and then we were led to our site. There are railroad tracks about 1/2 mile away on the other side of the Humbolt River, but I only heard one train during our stay about 5 in the morning. Even though we are only a few hundred yards from I-80 the traffic noise was not noticeable. We would stay here again. We camped at Elko RV Park At Ryndon in a Motorhome.

Riverside Park, Fort Morgan, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Hey, this is a free campground with electric only. 20 amp and 30 amp available (only 2 sites have 30 amp, and we got one of them). All sites are end to end along a median. There was only one other camper there the night we were there. Donations are appreciated. We stayed one night and left $5. Perfect overnight spot being two minutes from Interstate 76. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Riverside Park in a Motorhome.

Portal RV Resort and Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here two nights while traveling through Moab so we could spent the day at Arches NP. The staff in the office was fast and efficient. On the north end of town and close to the Arches NP entrance. Sites were level and the park is clean. There are two sides to this park. The more expensive is ownership sites that are rented out. We stayed in the campground side and were quite happy at $15 less per night. We would stay here again. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Black Bart's RV Park, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

If you are looking for a place to get off the road overnight, or have business in town this is the place to stay. It is easy off and on for I-40. Even though it is right next to the freeway we really didn't hear any traffic noise....of course that may reflect more the quality of our motorhome's insulation than our proximity to the interstate, or our hearing abilities. While on our way into town we stopped to call the park to see if they sold propane. We were almost out, and while they do not sell propane, they gave us a great referral to Flagstaff RV Center sells propane at $2.99/gallon, and has a large pull through area big enough to accommodate our 62' length. We had to have our VW serviced, and it is just 3 miles to the dealership....perfect for us! We camped at Black Bart's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Silver City RV Resort, Minden, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this park because they accept Passport America, and the daily rate reflects that discount....the Passport America price is actually $19.98 plus tax per day. A very nicely maintained park right next to US HWY 395, but there is not much traffic at night, so it was not an issue. Staff was friendly, fast and helpful. We were led to our 70 foot long pull through site, and the person made sure our 62 feet of motorhome and trailer were parked properly within the site before leaving. We will stay here again. We camped at Silver City RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Border Inn RV Park, Baker, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here about 5.5 years ago for one night on our way across the "Loneliest Road in America", US HWY 50. It is very near Great Basin National Park, and appears to have been redone. Each site has full hookups, including a heated water spigot. Plus there is very, very good Wi-Fi that I am using to post this interview. No passwords....just click and connect. The staff is friendly and efficient. There is a full service restaurant, small mini-market, fuel, and slot machines. It is a great overnight spot, and the pull through sites are quite long....we fit our 62' length in quite easily. There is no pavement....just gravel. There are a few small trees. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wasatch View Estates and RV Park, Ogden, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

The rate we paid is based on Passport America's 50% discount. We stayed here two days. The management is very courteous, and helpful. We were given a LONG pull through site with full hookups. The Wi-Fi is located in the main office, and the range is only about 100'. You really have to use the Wi-Fi sitting near the office. This is a multi use park filled mostly with manufactured homes, which are in good condition. I don't know if they have 100 sites they rent out to folks like us, but they do have plenty scattered throughout the facility. The park is close to old town Ogden, restaurants, and shopping, plus several local historical sites. We would stay here again. We camped at Wasatch View Estates and RV Park in a Motorhome.

River Walk RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Our daily rate reflects monthly rate of $470, which is what we paid to stay the month. As others have said the sites are narrow, but if you have any experience, and skill you can easily get your rig in and out with no problem. We are a 36' long Class A diesel pusher, and I was able to get into my site in less than 5 minutes. The Wi-Fi is strong from site 52. We are only about 150 yards from the Spokane River, and a short bike, or walk from the Lake Resort (maybe a mile). We have walked and biked into town since we arrived. The owner/manager is very accommodating. We would stay here again! We camped at River Walk RV Park in a Motorhome.

Flathead River RV Resort, Polson, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

We came in without reservations and got a great site on the end of a row with a view of the river. Very clean, well maintained as others have commented. For us not much shade is no big deal; we always like to have a clear view of the southern sky for our DirecTV satellite dish. The sites are mega long. With our enclosed car hauler trailer we are 62 feet long, and there was still room to park our car behind the trailer. Short walk down to the dock and river. Management is super friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. The daily rate is a little high, but if you stay a week, it does go down; be sure and ask. We camped at Flathead River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Y Lazy R RV park, East Glacier Park, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This park is exactly as advertised, and that gets an "8" from me. The rate is based on the weekly rate. Some have a problem with self registration, but I like it. Just pick out a site and pay for it. How much easier can that be? The sites are grass and the electric is 30 amp. The view is amazing, and the management is friendly, and accommodating. We came in not sure if we would stay the week, and they let us convert over to the weekly rate after two days. Close to the Glacier Park Lodge, and several good eateries are in walking distance. This is the best deal in town. Would definitely stay here again and again. We camped at Y Lazy R RV park in a Motorhome.

Johnson's Campground and RV Park, St Mary, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night after overnighter in the St. Mary Visitors Center parking lot. We chose the sites in front, which are all back in, but fit our 62' length just fine. When these front 18 sites are full, you are just inches away from your neighbor. They are 30 amp with water only but no sewer. The sites up on top are full hookups. Great overnight place, and just outside the gate to Glacier National Park. There is a restaurant on site. We camped at Johnson's Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.
