This is a great place for an overnight. Large pull though sites and easy hook ups. No grass anywhere, but they do have a dirt dog area. Easy check in and clean restrooms! We always stay here when crossing through Texas.

We stayed in a river front deluxe site. The deluxe sites are 2 sites in one so you have lots of room! It was absolutely beautiful! There are many critters to be seen in the trees and river and at night the lightening bugs come out. The roads are paved, but the sites are dirt and not too level. They have a bridge that crosses the river to an island where they offer tent camping. There are plenty of places to walk the dogs. This campground is clean and beautiful with all the trees and natural landscaping of the river.

This is our third time at this resort. We stayed in a pond site close to the beach boardwalk. The pond turtles are friendly and will walk right up to you! It is well landscaped and maintained. Sites are level and very clean. Watch out for sticker burrs on your dogs! Some of the grass areas look really nice, but have those in it! ,Laundry room is extremely small with only 2 washers and 2 dryers. By far our favorite park in Texas!

I recommend making your reservation directly through the campground instead of the KOA 800 number. They will be able to better put you in a sight based on your wants. We were placed in a site along the main road. We were told that this was a quiet, ocean view site. We could see the bay, but had to sit outside in the back of the truck. There was constant cars, trucks, motorcycles, and delivery trucks going in and out. It was very difficult trying to cross this road to walk my dogs in their dog area. I called it "crossing the freeway". It was very noisy all the time. The dog area and surrounding area had lots of poo in it and there were no warnings about the sticker burrs that lurked in the grass. This campground needs a lot of TLC! It is worn down and dirty. Staff doesn't even check the sites or pick it up in between guests. The large rocks make it difficult to walk on. They also hurt our dogs' feet. The staff makes no effort to enforce any rules. There were campers that had trash and junk stored under their trailers which made the place look trashy. The water was shut off twice during our stay. The restrooms were dirty and the pool had lots of hair floating in it. The only few good things about this KOA is the friendliness of the office staff and the smores they made for the guests on Friday nights. I would recommend staying on the far interior. You will be sandwiched in, but at least its a little quieter. I will never return.

Our site was on the front row so we had a view of the ocean. The park was very clean and well maintained. They have a cute little mini golf course and a pond. There are llamas on the side of the park where a house is located. The roads are all paved. The only thing I didn't like was no traffic light to get in and out of the park. The park is off a busy highway, but the road noise isn't that bad.

At first we stayed in a cabin for a couple nights while waiting to pick up our new fifth wheel. Cabins are very clean and smell really good! After picking up our fifth wheel, we were put in an extra long pull through with grass on both sides. There is a playground for the kids and a nice pet area. Lots of trees around and the drive into the park is beautiful! The office area is very nice, and they have birds in cages who will greet you when you come in. This is one of my favorite campgrounds in Texas!

Our truck broke down just outside of Lordsburg. We didn't even know this place existed. We have always just driven through. We found a mechanic in town who referred us to the KOA. The park itself is nothing spectacular to look at and the area around it is questionable, but the man at the front desk was very kind and extremely helpful. They have a pool and laundry room. The parks looks like a dirt lot with hook-ups. There are a few trees dotted throughout. They have a big clubhouse and play area for kids. Not a destination KOA, but sufficient for an overnight or two.

The sites are privately owned, so they are very well taken care of. The boardwalk to the beach is just fantastic. Park is super clean and dog friendly. Our site overlooked one of the ponds. The turtles will come up to you and say hi. There are beautiful cranes that hang out on the pond's edges. We considered buying one of the lots, it is so beautiful. The only thing I didn't like much was that there is only 1 trash area by the office, so if you have dogs, it makes for a trash run several times a day. Otherwise, this is a beautiful place to stay when vacationing in Port Aransas.

Our truck broke down again and we sat on the side of the freeway for 2 hours. Eventually, we found a KOA nearby and asked if they could help. The husband of the work camper couple came out, hooked up our trailer, and towed us to a beautiful site overlooking the wildlife reserve and pool area. We ended up staying 2 nights while figuring out what to do with our truck. We felt welcomed right away. Yes, there are a lot of permanent residents there, but the park was clean and inviting. There are several wild birds, including peacocks, walking around and they will even stop to pose for a picture. I am so grateful for all the help and hospitality we received from this KOA. We will stay here again when traveling through this part of TX.

We stayed here twice while travelling through Texas. There are quite a few permanent residents, but the sites are clean and spacious. If you don't cook on "drive days", I recommend the local Chinese food restaurant. They deliver right to your RV. The construction in the area made it hard to get to the park. Front office staff was super friendly and very accommodating. It was great for an overnight stop.

There are lots of trees and a small pond. Roads are narrow, but easy to drive on. Pool was always full of people. I too have never seen so many Class C motor home rentals. I almost felt out of place with my travel trailer. Our site had trash in it when we arrived and the sewer hook up had a small hole in the pipe so it wasn't fun to drain our tanks. Restrooms were filthy and the floors were always wet. Overall, the park is beautiful and the ladies in the office were friendly. Great location to access Yosemite. Closest town is 7 miles away and locals are very friendly. We will not stay here again when we return to this area.

We stayed here twice as our half way stopping point from Arizona to Carmel. The first time we got a pull through in the A section. We could see the lake in the distance and wondered what the lower section is like so we booked a water front site in the lower F section on our return trip. How beautiful. There is grass and trees everywhere and the lake is just breathtaking. Sitting out on our lawn chairs in front of the lake, people and friendly ducks came by for a visit. All the fire pits were lit up at night by other RVers. We would love to stay here again when passing through this part of California. I gave this a 9 because the restrooms looked something like ones you would find in a public park with no doors, no hand soap and strange looking mirrors. Also, the airport is quite busy with all the small aircraft flying right over us. Overall, this park is absolutely beautiful and highly recommended.

What can I say, this is one of the most beautiful resorts I've ever stayed at. It was hard to find good pictures of this resort so I wasn't sure what to expect. If you go onto their website, the pictures they have on there are not even close to what this place looks like. We had a large ocean front site. We backed our trailer in, put out our chairs right behind it and there was the Pacific. What a beautiful backyard! There's something about the sound of the ocean waves 24/7. There is a walking trail that starts on one end of the resort and goes all the way to town. We walked several times to the grocery store using this path and having the Pacific right next to us was really a treat! The resort is spotless. Staff are extremely helpful. They told us about a bus that stops across the street that takes you into San Francisco so no driving is needed. They allow you to wash your RV and vehicle right at your site. Very dog friendly. It was nice to walk our dogs on their little dogie area then take them on the water front trail for a little stroll. I love this place and hope to return very soon.

We had the end spot with the river right behind us. The frogs chirping at night was really comforting. The park is beautiful with plenty of shade and grass. Grounds are well kept up and there are flowers everywhere. It is pitch dark at night as the park doesn't allow your porch light to stay on so we used flashlights to walk our dogs. Very dog friendly. They make it a stern point that you have to leash and pick up after your dogs. However, their dogs are running free and doing their business all over the place. I found one of them in my site every morning next to a little wet spot. We were here 8 nights and the bathrooms were only cleaned once. The road going to the park is beautiful and narrow in many spots, yes, even the bridge, but its easy and the owners stagger the check in and out times so RVers won't have any problems. If you have a problem with your site, please don't blame it on the resort. The lady in the front office is very defensive and doesn't seem to believe that things do break and its not always the guest's fault. Our issues got resolved promptly, but I didn't return to the office for anything else. Overall, the small issues we had didn't ruin our stay in any way and the park is perfectly located for Carmel and Monterrey adventures.

We stayed in a full hook up site. There are partial hook up sites with a view of the water, but they are all dirt with no trees. We were here during Memorial Day weekend, and it was packed! I was impressed how they kept the restrooms and property cleaned with all those people there. Security was always around. Very pet friendly and watercraft friendly. There are two ramps to launch your boat from. We have an inflatable raft, which is very heavy, so we utilized the boat ramps. Each time went very smooth and the people seemed tolerant of our small boat. Great dog run! It's all grass with a couple benches for mom and dad to sit on while business is being taken care of. They clean the restrooms daily, but don't close them since there is only one. Water pressure is bad especially when all the showers are being used at the same time, but the water is hot and refreshing after a long day on the lake! Pool is nice, but we didn't use it. I gave this resort a 9 because of all the dirt. They have paved roads but dirt lots and there was always so much of it in our coach. We will definitely stay here again!
