K & K RV Park, Millbrook, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This was good for an overnight stay, but I wouldn't want to stay more than a night or two. There is a single restroom that the campground shares with gas station customers. The bathroom is attached to the gas station, there is no shower and it closes at 9p.m.. There are a lot of permanent campers here. We camped at K & K RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wilderness RV Park, Robertsdale, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $10.00

This campground has potential but it needs the owner (nice guy) to invest some money. There are two nice ponds and nice campsites. This is a good stop over but if it gets fixed up I can see spending more time here. All the buildings are run down. The covered picnic area by the pool has a rusty tin roof that is lifting off, the guard shack by the gate is closed and full of junk, the bathrooms are run down. The area to do laundry is a back room with only one washer and dryer. You can only get the WiFi if you camp in certain areas of the campground. Instead of caps on the septic he has soda bottles blocking the pipe. We camped at Wilderness RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Martin Lake Resort, Biloxi, Mississippi

A nice lake with a walking trail and free paddle boats. The restrooms were clean but a lot of pooling up of water and no separate area to change your cloths. We had a very difficult time backing up our 38' fifth wheel into a space. It turns out some of their roads are wider than others and they set us up on one that was impossible. We had to go in and ask for a new spot and the gal at the counter was downright rude (after staying here I found the rest of the workers seem pleasant). The concrete they poured is just wide enough for a camper with no room for error; unless you get one of the 50amp sites in the last row. Wifi works well and the miniature golf course is nicely laid out - just needs a little work. We camped at Martin Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
