Date of Stay:

We stayed here 6 nights while visiting friends in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. While we were there we looked at the other RV parks in the area and concluded that Pioneer was the nicest for the price. Gulf Waters was probably the nicest but is quite a bit more money. The park was almost full with snowbirds while we were there. Gulf Waters was probably 1/3 full probably because of the price. There is a trolley that comes by hourly that will take you into town. Riding a bike on the beach is just a fantastic experience. We will stay there again.

Date of Stay:

We stayed here twice while going to and from Port Aransas. Nice friendly staff. The Wi-Fi is a little weak in space 56 & 57 where we stayed as I think the signal is blocked by the restroom building. We would stay there again.

Date of Stay:

The park is within a half a block of a railroad track crossing where the passing trains blow their horns all night long. The park mainly caters to long term tenants with only about 27 of their 173 spaces available to overnighters. Their pull through spaces are only 50 feet long so if you have a longer coach pulling another vehicle you will have to disconnect it to fit in the space. If you want Wi-Fi you are going to have to pay $4.95 extra a day for it. After a long day hike we were looking forward to using their spa at 8:00 p.m. but were told by a man covering it up that it was closed. There was nothing posted at the pool or in their booklet about pool and spa hours. I went up to the office to find out if this was the case and was barked at twice by a rude red haired woman behind the desk to "take it up with the manager." I could only recommend this park if you like blaring train horns, or are deaf, or don't mind abuse by the staff. There are plenty of other parks in the area that look just as nice and aren't nearly as close to the railroad tracks. We will not return to this one.
