We stayed for their "Falloween Weekend". We felt that the staff was very friendly and service oriented. The person who escorted me to my site was very helpful. There were numerous activities this particular weekend, some costing extra and some not. The free breakfast was good. The owners aim to please and are like I said, very service oriented. There were a couple of downsides to the campground: it is noisy with traffic; the sites are too close together; some of the facilities are starting to show age, but they have made great improvements since our last visit! The Jumping Pillow is a fun activity, but price is a little steep if you have more than one child and you've already paid quite a bit for an overpriced site. Since it was fall, couldn't use the pool, so pricing should reflect a discount for that. Overall, our stay was a pleasant one, and really like the atmosphere at this campground--free mini golf, the playground, tether ball, etc is a definite plus and brings back memories of days when we were kids. Was great to have our kids outdoors and away from electronic things for a weekend.

We have been to this park many times in the past and always enjoy our time here. The sites are hard-surfaced and spacious. The price is right, and there are many things to do in the park, especially in the summer. But, I am noticing that more and more things are becoming run-down and in need of repair. The fire grate on our site was broken, and we had a difficult time trying to grill with it. Our site was level, but it needs to have some gravel or be re-seeded as in a rain storm, would have been a total mud pit. The staff at the park can sometimes get crabby, but otherwise a nice gem between Lincoln and Omaha, right off the Interstate. You WILL hear interstate traffic and train noise which is why I did not give it a 10.

Lovely campground, and the staff is friendly. We enjoyed our stay at this park, but some of the facilities are run-down and the pool was green. There is fairly decent Wi Fi, but no cell phone reception. It is about 5 miles from Estes Park. We would stay here again.

The staff is very friendly at this park, the facilities are clean and the sites fairly level. Good for overnight or extended stay and family friendly. What we did not like was the price! We have stayed at this park in the past, and have re-visited it several times, but this visit, it seems the prices went way up: even with a GS or AAA discount it was over priced. We'll be looking for a cheaper campground when we stay in the North Platte area in the future.

Lady in office very nice. There is road noise from I-80, but the park is good for an over night stay. There is a lake, but no other amenities. Sites are mostly pull-thru, and ours was level. We would stay here again.

We stayed in the Middle Oak Creek campground and this was our first time in this area. The campground is nice and my complaint is not with the sites (ours was very level) or the facilities itself, but with the noise that is allowed to carry on after quiet hours. There were people up past 2:00 a.m. (opening coolers, slamming car doors, shining headlights) on Friday. Saturday night there was a lot of noise from people's music blaring. Then other individuals were up at 6:45 on Sunday morning talking loudly and being loud with their vehicles and playing their radio. It seemed like there was just noise pollution all weekend. Otherwise, the scenery is beautiful and lots of open space. Has easy access to the lake.

A nice campground but could use some updating, painting and a little bit more maintenance. Rates are high, but it does include free mini golf which is nice for the kids. Sites are pretty level, but they need some work with regards to holes being filled, rock, etc. Personnel very friendly. It would have been nice to have had some more 4th of July activities--maybe even an area where kids could shoot off a few fireworks (at their own risk). The playground is really nice. Sites are too close together though (like most KOA's) and really felt cramped. But overall, a cute KOA--quiet and family-oriented. We would go back again.

This is a great family campground with a sparkling clean pool and baby pool and playground with lots of space for the kids to run. (The playground needs a bench for parents to sit on after they tire out and the kids still want to play!) The owners aim to please and are very cordial. Most of the sites are nice pull thru sites with lots of room--our site required a lot of leveling, but it was large and we had a nice view of the sunset (which was gorgeous). The wi-fi worked well, but they don't tell you much about it unless you ask--it is free in 12 hour increments. The store and snack bar is very quaint and had a large screen tv. There were a few things that kept us from giving it a 10: 1) Interstate noise can getting a little loud, but you get used to it. 2) The roads could use a little attention inside the park--very rough 3) Garbage dumpsters are very far away--although they do offer to pick up your trash at your site--however, it was the end of the day--getting dark and we had accumulated a lot of trash and needed to dispose of it. Need more dumpsters throughout the park. 4) Playground area needs a few benches for tired moms and dads to sit upon 5) Picnic tables at all the sites are needed, which I think they are working on--most folks who go camping need a picnic table! 6) Campfire and BBQ pits are needed, if not at each site--at least somewhere in the campground so the kids can do s'mores. All in all, our experience at this campground was a very positive one and we will return again. It is very family friendly and easy to get to. The owners are making lots of improvements and really do aim to please.

Great park with hard-surfaced sites, about 10 miles west of downtown Lincoln. A few of the sites in the Southshore Campground have full hook ups and are able to be reserved. The main complaint I have about this cg is the lack of shade--trees are just not mature yet.

Date of Stay:

This is a great campground. The only reason it doesn't get a 10 from me is because of the Interstate noise and gravel sites, as opposed to hard-surfaced. The park is older, but it is well-kept, and the staff is friendly. The campground could use some work with regards to the laundry room. Hard-surfaced roadways would also be a great improvement. But, the park has a nice swimming pool, playground, and is easy to get to. If you don't mind the interstate traffic nearby, this is a good spot for one night or several. We would stay here again.

Very nice, well kept campground. We came in after dark and our site had a little light plugged into the shore power so we could see. Sites are level and large. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because of the lack of shade. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay here again and for more than one night. Nice playground and pool for the kids. A little off the Interstate and we had a little bit of difficulty finding it in the dark. Could have better signs.

Wi-Fi didn't work for us and the front office staff was a little cranky at times, but overall this is a decent park. Interstate traffic a little annoying, but ask for something towards the back and it won't be so bad probably. Don't know if I'd stay here again, or try a different park in the Cheyenne area.

I'm not sure why this park has had some bad ratings. It wasn't any different than a lot of other older parks. Sites were a little small, but manageable. We stayed one night and the lady in the office did tell us how much "work" or trouble the one-night stays were, which I thought was a little uncalled for, but then I reminded her that they charged enough to make up for it. Campground is older, but I don't think the bad ratings are totally warranted. We would probably stay here again if in the area.

This is a nice campground as far as amenities go, but like everything in West Yellowstone it is highly over priced. Office staff can at times get a bit grouchy. The park is clean and has lots to do and the kids loved it. The BBQ ribs are wonderful! We would stay here again, despite the horrible prices.

Date of Stay:

I like this park in the sense that it has a lot of amenities for the kids--FREE mini golf, a nice pool and hot tub, shuffle board and a great old fashioned playground. It is your typical KOA in that you are packed in like sardines, so if you don't mind that, you will like the campground. Would be a great place for a family reunion. We had problems with our sewer drain on our site, but other than that our stay was quite enjoyable. The owners and workers strive for hospitality except I did feel that when our sewer wasn't working more adequate compensation should have been made other than just a $3 a night refund--charging us for water and electric only--we had reserved full hook ups. It was quite inconvenient to be hooked up to the sewer and then not have it work properly, and have yucky black water draining all over our campsite at the end of our stay! Perhaps a more adequate compensation for our TIME and INCONVENIENCE might have been a free night--we stayed for 3 nights total, so offering one of the nights free might have been a better compensation than the $9 refund they gave us. Despite all the hassle, we will probably return because we enjoyed the campground, and the people are pretty nice, and probably would have given it a higher rating were it not for the inadequate compensation on the sewer drain.
