Granite Flat, Truckee, California

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Park is located directly on the Truckee River. About half of the sites have river access. Bathrooms are pit toilets but were very clean. Park is located very close to Highway 89 and road noise can be heard at all times of the day. No shower facilities. Camp Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We camped at Granite Flat in a Motorhome.

Mazama Village (NPS Campground), Crater Lake National Park, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Park had a lot of dead and downed trees in and around all of the sites. It appears that the staff was trying to remove wood that had been cut but it was mostly laying and stacked in the sites. Interior roads were in generally poor condition and were not suitable for young children and bikes. Sites are very close together. Fuel (gas) and Fresh water are available. Dump Station was very nice and clean. Campground is located 7 miles from Crater Lake so be prepared to have your own vehicle for transportation. Most roads and lookouts can be accessed with a smaller motorhome. Parking is limited in some spots. We camped at Mazama Village (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park within an actual orange grove. Sites are somewhat close together. The park is very clean and well kept. The bathrooms were the cleanest that I have ever seen in an RV Park. Swimming pool was freezing cold but has just opened two days before for the season. The store was very minimal. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort, Mancos, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The staff is very friendly. They were very willing and outgoing to help us with any of our needs. There is a miniature golf course for the kids. This park is part of a working farm, so access to pettable animals is available. A very clean park. Some sites are very close to each other. It is just across the highway from Mesa Verde National Park and close to the town of Cortez for any and all of your needs. We camped at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Poorly kept campground. Sites were not very level and could pose a problem to people without leveling devices. Friendly staff. Close to all of the activities offered on the South Rim. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Bar S RV Park, Milan, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is simply a gravel parking lot for an overnight stay while traveling through the area. Staff not very knowledgeable of the area. The price was fair for what you get. We camped at Bar S RV Park in a Motorhome.

Orangeland RV Park, Orange, California

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the best RV parks I have ever stayed at. The park was spotless and the people go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Very close to all of the attractions in the area. I will definatley stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Disneyland area. We camped at Orangeland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Campland On The Bay, San Diego, California

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

The spaces in the affordable area were similar to parking at Walmart, only closer. The park was dirty and the people were not very friendly. The positive side of this park were the activities for the kids and the private beach area. I will not be returning to this campground, nor will I recommend it to anyone. We camped at Campland On The Bay in a Motorhome.

Far Horizons 49er Village RV Resort, Plymouth, California

Date of Stay: May, 2005 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest RV parks I have stayed at. Very clean. Lakes are very small, but fun for the kids. Standard sites are a little on the small side. Biggest drawback is "NO" fire rings anywhere. We camped at Far Horizons 49er Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.
