Williston Crossings RV Resort, Williston, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is our fourth or fifth year staying here. One of our favorite places. Has big, wooded lots with concrete level sites. Friendly campground. Many snow birders here for a long stay. Located about 20 miles from Gainesville or Ocala. Each year the owners have added or upgraded something from the last time. Work is continuing on the swimming pool but this seems to be an ongoing saga. Movies and/or entertainment in the club house each week. Plus game nights and arts/crafts weekly. Adequate Wi-Fi. DSL is available. We camped at Williston Crossings RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Houston West RV Park, Brookshire, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, level gravel sites at this park which is conveniently located off the freeway. Located close to shopping areas in Houston. Wi-Fi only available in the lounge area was a big disappointment. Trash pickup on site. Some items are available in the office area. We camped at Houston West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Horne Lake RV Park (formerly Osprey First In Florida RV Park), Yulee, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Older park. Sites are all pull though with concrete pads. Small sites that make your neighbors very close if you both have slide outs. Easy on and off the freeway. No Wi-Fi even though advertised as such. Been "broke" since January (I assume that is this year). Good for overnight but would not want to stay much longer. We camped at Horne Lake RV Park (formerly Osprey First In Florida RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Vero Beach Kamp RV Park, Sebastian, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Old KOA campground. Value here was very poor. No weekly rates so the it was daily rates time however many days you stay. Cost way too much for a campground like this. Paid approximately the same at other campgrounds with better amenities. Has not seen a paint brush in many years. Vehicles and boats and whatever else stored around the camping area. Pretty trashy looking. Sites were level and generous but not paved. We had to add extensions to all of the utility hoses, etc. because the pad for the table was too high and interfered with steps. Unable to pull back far enough to clear this obstacle. No Wi-Fi. We camped at Vero Beach Kamp RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The sites are basic and clean. The people are very nice and friendly. There are not many amenities. It makes a good base camp if you are staying in the area. It is not far out of Columbia. We camped at Columbia / Camden RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A good family park. There are lots of things for the younger campers to do within the park boundaries. There are many sites and yet this place can be full quickly. I would recommend reservations. My only complaint was the outrageous charge for WIFI at $10 per day. I will find some other place before paying this. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
