Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA), Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice (older) KOA. The park is clean and everyone is very friendly. They have a diner in the park serving breakfast and dinner, good food at a very good price. We stopped here overnight, but will return on our return trip. We camped at Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA) in a Motorhome.

St. David RV Resort, Western Horizon, Saint David, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the first time using our Western Horizons membership. We found the staff somewhat friendly but the volunteers were wonderful. Enjoyed the exercise classes and found the showers and restrooms clean. Could use larger laundry facilities but understand lack of sewer is why they don't have more restrooms/laundry. We had a nice spot with plenty of room. Plenty of places to visit while staying in the park, will come back. We camped at St. David RV Resort, Western Horizon in a Motorhome.

Pilot Knob RV Resort, Winterhaven, California

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a membership park and we stayed using our Adventure Outdoor Resorts membership. We were very disappointed in the attitude of staff and volunteers in the park. They seemed very snobby and not at all welcoming. We were also disappointed in the lack of activities. Other parks have water aerobics and exercise classes which this did not. (There was an older couple who had some tapes that they shared to exercise with but when they left-no more). The staff said "this is your club house, use it" but when a few of us attempted to, we were rudely interrupted by the staff and the quilting corner seemed to rule the roost. Several of us said we won't be back. The schedule when published had several mistakes re: times. Very disappointing. We camped at Pilot Knob RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ajo Heights RV Park, Ajo, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This was a stop over for two nights while on our way to Yuma and was our first time staying here. The majority of folks staying were there for the season and return every year. Everyone was so nice and friendly including the owner. We visited with several people and will not hesitate to stay again next time we are in the area. We camped at Ajo Heights RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ocean Breeze , Ocean City, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is our home park and it is our favorite place to go. The sites are the best we have ever seen, very private and spacious. The lack of sewer hook ups require planning but they do have sewer pumpers available. The activities schedule is good and the past managers have done a lot of work to improve the park. It does close between October and March. Because it is the beach it does have it's share of rain but doesn't put a damper on our love of the park. We camped at Ocean Breeze in a Motorhome.
