Well where do I start. We had reservations to stay in this campground and while we were staying at the state park close by we decided to drive by and check it out. We are so glad we did because there is no way we could stay there. The sites are really too close because if you are lucky to get your slide out you won't have RV and those that did were barley big enough. The grass between sites was dead or over grown, a adult put bull was laying in the gutter and we wondered if it was dead, this place just did not look like a safe environment. Don't let the picture on the web page fool you as it is very misleading.

Camping here for 3 months. Great location with rv and tent sites. This park has 16 wonderful cabins, with plenty of room to walk, hike. swim in the lake. Lots of trees and shade . Bathrooms and showers are exceptionally clean. There is a game room, laundry, pool, rec room, basket ball and nature trail with a zip line. Store with nice supply of groceries a nd a small restaurant. food is great and plentiful. The closest town is Ogallala and Brule . A 5 mile drive on a gravel road but very doable.

This brand new park is the best in Alamogordo, NM. Huge sites, pull throughs, and backins. It is great location about 7 miles from town with no traffic or train noise. Beautiful gift store with tables, chairs, TV, couches, coffee, and pastries. Clean laundry, showers, and bathrooms. Large outdoor entertainment area for live music and campfires, Great mountain views and views of White Sands as well. A great place to stay short or long time with great hosts. We stayed here for one month in Dec. 2008 and presently here for 4 months.
