Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground , Rock Port, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is just now in the process of reopening after the Corps of Engineers flooded it under 8' of water in 2011. The owners are very nice trying real hard to get it back up and running. Not all the sites have all the services. I am not sure they have 50 amp service. The camp is lacking in several ways because of the flood, but I would highly recommend if you are in travel mode to stop in and support them. It is close to the freeway, but far enough away to not hear it. We got all of the major TV networks over the antenna. We camped at Rock Port / RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Shell Lake Campground, Heth, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The previous review is still accurate, except the cost went up $1.00. The bathrooms were not open, and they did offer us the use of a hotel room to take a shower in. We used it as an overnight stop while on the road. The sites are in various degrees of disrepair, not all full hookup sites where fully functional. It appeared that all RVs that showed up were able to get full hookups. We camped at Shell Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Canyon Gateway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is no longer a Passport America campground. It is still shown by Passport America on its primary site, but if you go to the deleted campgrounds, it shows it is no longer a member. We were in travel mode getting in late, so I did not look further. The cable has major over the air networks only, and the Wi-Fi was not working. Probably an OK price for Williams, but for me it was overpriced. We camped at Canyon Gateway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Simple park no frills. Great manager. The park is older but they work to keep it up. They mowed the lawn twice in the week we were there. The Wi-Fi worked great. Would not hesitate to stay there again. We camped at Livingston RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Mammoth Campground (NPS Campground), Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground in the part of the park we enjoy the most. The campground hosts were outstanding. To save water we go to canyon to take our showers and do the laundry, and very nice facility. There are showers available in Mammoth, we have not used them. We stayed here for two weeks and loved it. We will definitely return to this campground. We camped at Mammoth Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Shady Acres RV Park & Campground, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

I can understand where the previous raters come from. But: I will say that the dog run is the best we have seen on our travels. The staff is nice, cable TV was just a little lacking in clarity, internet was good. Overall this is more typical of what we find in the crossroads of middle America. We would stay here again. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Duck Creek Campground, Cedar City, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here last year for an overnight and chose to do it again this year. This is a Forest Service campground ran by a contractor. Great campground. Fishing in the area with a pond that people fish in within walking distance. Hiking trails take off from the campground. Family friendly area. We camped at Duck Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

San Diego RV Resort, La Mesa, California

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

I like everything about this park except, we were next to some very rude full timer residents. They pretended not to be there when we needed their car to be moved to make it easier to back in, and again when we could not leave. They suddenly were there when the tow truck pulled up. Management was responsive. Yes we would stay there again because of convenience, but management needs to deal with the rude occupants. We camped at San Diego RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
