Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort (55+ park), Casa Grande, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this place! It was very beautiful. Actually looked like the pictures. The executive golf course was great too and soooo inexpensive. We came here with my parents and really loved it. They seemed to be very organized and interested in keeping the reputation up to par. I didn't have any golf clubs and the Pro-Shop loaned us a nice set for free. We sure wish we were old enough to come here on our own! We camped at Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We planned on staying here through the New Year but left early. The staff was very friendly. However, we were terribly disappointed in the site. It was not much of an "RV" Resort. It had several modular small homes throughout the park. RV's were placed in the very back. There were no trees nor picnic tables here. We were told to park on the gravel and reserve the concrete for patio. The sewer smell was a little strong. The golf course looked nice! We tried to get tee times but were told each time that it was already booked(?) We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A pretty nice park. The area was convenient and safe. It was much better on safety and convenience than other parks we drove past in the area. The management was friendly. We were there during Christmas and needed to extend our stay and they were very accommodating. The sites were pretty good. Just a bit too close together for our tastes. They had several pet areas. We were very turned off by the odor inside the pet confined areas. It was so bad that even my dog wouldn't use it! LOL. Cable reception was not the best. Otherwise, it was a pretty good place. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Carlsbad KOA, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We booked reservations for this site based on the name "Carlsbad KOA" because that was the area we wanted to be for hiking and such. I asked the campground if they were close and they stated "just down the road"; very close. We drove and drove. After 30 minutes, we called them back to check directions and found we still had several more miles to go even further from Carlsbad. So we called to cancel due to it being FAR. They refused to give us a refund. Perhaps it is a great site, but it is just not "in Carlsbad" or even close by our standards. Plus it was very pricey for the area. We did not stay here. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Motorhome.

Brantley Lake State Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The lake is very pretty but do not go there if you plan on swimming or fishing. The water was contaminated and "no fishing or swimming" signs were everywhere. We camped at Brantley Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.
