Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

As usual, top notch park BUT an 8 because of the lack of a functioning WI-FI at individual sites. There is WI-FI at 2 central locations, but the advertising says that have it at site for an incremental charge, but right now they don't. They say they are in contract disagreement with the provider. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Everything was just about perfect. We were here with our club (12 rigs), and everyone was very happy. There are clean facilities, friendly staff, huge level sites, and plenty of shade. A big clubhouse was available for our group. We camped at Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA) in a Motorhome.

Silver Lakes RV & Golf Resort, Naples, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2010 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

This is a superb park. They have a well-maintained, easy access facility with everything you would want. Pool, their own golf, and many activities that you can sign up and attend. This park is not geared toward children although they would be welcome. We would stay here anytime again. We camped at Silver Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Lazydays RV Campground, Seffner, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Everything here is at standard or better. The sites are a little tight but there is adequate room. The Wi-Fi at our site was virtually non-existent, but we were able to get in at the meeting room. We had the free lunch (yes, free lunch), and it was good. There is also free breakfast, but we missed it. The adjoining Camping World, Cracker Barrel, and their Sales Center make this a fun stay. We camped at Lazydays RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Coastal Georgia RV Resort, Brunswick, Georgia

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Brand new campground. The management team is very helpful with everything. The sites are all paved and level. There is very pretty planting around each. The hookups are all in great shape. They have pavilion, lake, fishing. Easy on and off I-95. Signs to camp are well marked. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Coastal Georgia RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ledgeview RV Park, Lake George, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The camp was neat, sites large, and the area around is great. The only annoyance was having to pay $6.00 for a visitor that I said would be in camp less than an hour and would use NO facilities. He just wanted to see our RV and have a snack. But the gentleman (?) in the office insisted on taking the money and said he would refund if the guest left sooner. The annoyance was that he would not take me at my word and then displayed a poor attitude. But I want to stress that other than that, this is a good place. We camped at Ledgeview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hemlock Campground & Cottages, Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very pretty campground with very nice sites and friendly helpful staff. Why an 8 and not a 10?? Simple reason is there was a lot of noise until deep into the A.M. on weekend nights. We camped at Hemlock Campground & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Road Runner Travel Resort, Fort Pierce, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very good campground. Staff is helpful and courteous. Facilities are very pretty. The restrooms are among the best we have seen. There is a small on-site restaurant / tavern which is handy. WIFI is central on their porch area. The only drawback is that Ft Pierce is a good place with Hutchinson Island beaches, but not Florida's best destination. We camped at Road Runner Travel Resort in a Motorhome.

Ft. Myers / Pine Island KOA, Saint James City, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We spent 6 nights at the camp, and thought that the overall experience was terrible. Foremost was their assertion that they have WIFI. They do, but only in a central location and then you need extreme luck to log in. When we complained the staff was extremely discourteous, and when we asked about a refund for the unused days, they simply stated that the managers were not available. Sites are crampred, There are strong odors in the campground. Pine Island is a long ride to most places in the Ft Myers area. On the positive side the "regular" long-termers did seem to have a lot to do. Avoid this place if enjoying the Ft Myers area is your intent. We camped at Ft. Myers / Pine Island KOA in a Motorhome.
