Seven Feathers RV Park, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of our favorites. It is beautiful and spotless. The showers and laundry facilities are perfect. The park is meticulously maintained. Staff are efficient and friendly. There was a slight mix up with our reservations but it was taken care of without any question or hassle. Shuttle buses will take you anywhere any time so there is no need for a tow car. Food services in the casino are excellent, especially Thursday night seafood buffet, which is very popular (plan for wait). We camped at Seven Feathers RV Park in a Motorhome.

Portside RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is maintained in a pristine manner. There are several pull thru sites that are nicely spaced and a number of back in sites that are less expensive. We like the large pull thru spot on the end with a distant view of the ocean. The beach is about two blocks away. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Staff is friendly and efficient. There is no playground for kids, but the beach is the best playground any way. We camped at Portside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Golden Rule RV Park, Willits, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This pretty park is truly a gem. It is next to the ranch where the racehorse, Seabiscuit, lived out his retirement. The property is lush and beautiful, with lots of grass and trees. There are wild turkeys, deer, rabbits and squirrels. The only downside is there is no tv or WiFi reception and in fact, cell phone reception is poor too, because it is located at the bottom of a canyon. But if you prefer peace and quiet, it is great. The other RV in town has more amenities, but they charge extra for everything. This park is a much better bargain unless you have lots of kiddies that need entertaining. We camped at Golden Rule RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

WalMart in Ukiah, about 30 mi south, but not a Super store.
Safeway in both Ukiah and Willits. Willits is just 15 min north.
Lots of shopping and restaurants in downtown Ukiah... very cute.
The Branding Iron is nearby and excellent for steaks and seafood.

Dos Reis Regional Park, Lathrop, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This pretty county park is a favorite stop of ours. It is easy access from the interstate but is far enough that there is no traffic noise. There is lots of grass and beautiful shade trees. There are 25 spots with a couple of larger pull thrus. The bathroom situation is the biggest negative to the campground. The toilets as of this date are out of service. The shower is disgusting and we will not use them. There are supposed to be camp hosts on duty, but we have not seen anyone.

The sites are spacious and spaced for privacy. There are a multitude of birds. With a little work on the bathrooms, this would be a real gem. We camped at Dos Reis Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Colorado River Adventures/Lake Havasu Resort, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for free at this resort after listening to a brief sales pitch for Coast to Coast Properties. This particular resort is a basic, crowded parking lot. We would probably not stay here next time. Normal site rate is $50/night. We do not fish or boat, so were not interested in the water activities available. We camped at Colorado River Adventures/Lake Havasu Resort in a Motorhome.

Yanks RV Resort, Greenfield, California

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is three years old and is just beautiful. The owner is very friendly and maintains the park in pristine condition. The facilities are all perfect. There is a pool, hot tub, exercise room, and fire pit. The showers are wonderful. The park is surrounded by farm land, is secure and quiet. It is only an hour's drive to the Monterey area. 30 minutes to Wal Mart in Salinas. We will definitely stay here again as there is nothing comparable in Central California. We camped at Yanks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We always stay at this lovely park when traveling through the area. It is always maintained perfectly, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the facilities are pristine. I wait to do laundry until we are here because it is so nice. Orange trees separate each site for privacy. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fort Stockton RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We stay at this park every time we travel east or west across Texas. The managers are extremely friendly and efficient. The sites are dirt but roomy. The bathrooms are clean. Highway noise is at a minimum even though the park is close by. Easy access from the highway. There is an on site cafe that offers excellent dinners and breakfast. This is a perfect overnight stop, but would not classify it as a destination park. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of our favorites park and we stay here whenever we pass through the area. It is a resort with beautiful, spacious sites. The park is excellently maintained, office staff are efficient and professional. We also use several local repair people, ie, oil change, while staying at the park because they come right to your site to do the work. The park is very easy to access from the freeway and the town of Kerrville is nearby for shopping, etc. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

River Shade RV Park, Seguin, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stay at this park several times during the year whenever we visit the Seguin/New Braunfels area. It is right on the banks of the Guadalupe River. There are nice trees and grass, with ducks and squirrels, and fishing. It is one of our favorite parks. Management is super nice. The bathrooms and laundry are older but they are clean and adequate. There are a lot of permanent residents, but the park is quiet and safe, and well maintained. We camped at River Shade RV Park in a Motorhome.

Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is it! This is the perfect RV resort. The staff is friendly and efficient. The park is nicely maintained and everything is spotlessly clean. We especially love the adults only pool and hot tub. The showers are excellent. This is our favorite park. We stop here every winter because we can have maintenance work, including an oil change on our rig done at our site in the park. This saves us money and the hassle of having to take the rig into a shop. The service is always excellent. This park sets the standard for all other parks that call themselves a "resort". We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Lubbock RV Park, Lubbock, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a pretty, nice sized park with lots of shade trees. There is no cable but no parks in the area offer it. The sites are nice with a concrete pad, although the turns are a little tight if towing. The owner is super nice. We would definitely stop again when traveling through the area. The only negative to some might be the noise level of the birds who roost in the trees at night, although they do quiet down when it gets dark. We did not mind them and in fact, our cats were fascinated. We camped at Lubbock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Amarillo Ranch RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were disappointed by this park. The last time we were in the area, we stayed west of town. This time, we wanted to be close to shopping and restaurants. To be fair, it is the end of summer. There is a water park right next door. The Big Texan is practically next door. There is an indoor pool here. So, in the summer, this would be an excellent destination for families. With that said, the park is tired looking. We stayed for five days and were put in a transient spot where the rigs on both sides of us came and went every day. And the sites were extremely close. Showers are nice. Cable is excellent. We have our own MiFi. Next time, we would stay west of town again. We camped at Amarillo Ranch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Seven Winds RV Park, Liberal, Kansas

So, ok, this is your basic trailer park with lots of full time workers and some RV spots. Nothing special. Out in the country so quiet except for an occasional train. Nice cable. Owner is super nice. Ok for an overnight stay since nothing else in the area is nicer. We would stay here again on our way to Amarillo. We camped at Seven Winds RV Park in a Motorhome.
