Kentucky Lakes / Prizer Point KOA, Cadiz, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was right on the Cumberland River/Lake Barklay, with a great view and fantastic sunsets. Very noisy in the early a.m. as the fisherman headed past to the lake. The site was difficult to get in and out of for our fifth-wheel and pickup combination, and also a bit difficult to level. We were there at the end of the season, so most of the "extras" were not available. We camped at Kentucky Lakes / Prizer Point KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Kentucky Horse Park Campground, Lexington, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice wide sites, clean, great roads. Quiet and well run. Lots of entertainment nearby, including horse activities on the premises. Would rate slightly higher if they had sewer hookups. We camped at Kentucky Horse Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rock Island KOA, Rock Island, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times, due to a nearby annual event. The owners have always been friendly. They have made significant improvements over the years. While we do think the rate for the only pull-through site (deluxe) is too high, we will return; we'll request a back-in site instead. The gravel interior roads could be improved. We've never noticed any train noise and have not been bothered by traffic. We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
