Lake Darling State Park, Brighton, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice park. It's nice that some of the waterfront sites are reservable and others are first come, first served. Being a state park I thought the sites would be larger, but they were big enough. Not especially level, but workable. Gnats were terrible while we were there, but might just have been because of all the rain. There's a swimming beach too. We would go back. We camped at Lake Darling State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cabin Fever, Victoria, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a new campground that is just getting started. No shower house yet, but with full hook ups, that didn't matter. Five lakes with excellent fishing. One lake has a swimming beach. Paddleboats and row boats available to rent. Well maintained. The owner is always around to make sure things are fine and your stay is enjoyable. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place to go. We camped at Cabin Fever in a Fifth Wheel.

Reel Livin' Resort and Campground, Hayward, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2005 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground in the forest. Lots of trees and shade. We had a very large site, just a 2 minute walk to the water. Lots of seasonals but the sites were well kept and the people were friendly. We camped at Reel Livin' Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Basswood Resort, Platte City, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Regular campsites are cramped, premium sites are somewhat larger. Wireless internet was spotty. Staff was very friendly but somewhat untrained. Spotless shower house and laundry room. The pool is nice. We camped at Basswood Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
