This campground is in the park so the first thing you'll do when you get there is pay your $8 parking fee which you won't have to pay again. We were in site 342 which was very hard to get parked in. We had to back in blindsided up a hill, (but managed to do it without a fight! :) Once we got the camper parked we found that the site was very unlevel. Once we got in and settled though I was very pleased. Some of the sites don't have much of a yard at all, but ours was pretty big with a great view of the lake and the mountain. We walked the campground to see what the rest of it was like and when we return we will definitely try to get into Loop F which is close to the office. Those sites are all level and big enough for our camper. They're also right next to the pool and playground which is a plus when you have kids. We had a great time at the park and were able to come back to the campsite for lunch with no problems. Very relaxing and peaceful environment. I also liked that it had that good ole outdoorsey camping feeling to it. Not like a resort but close enough to all the attractions.

We camped here after leaving Camping World and on first impression we were a little wary but decided to give it a shot. We were very glad that we did. It was very peaceful and everyone there pretty much kept to themselves. There were a lot of permanent residents along with travelers just stopping in for a rest. The bathhouse was very clean but very old and outdated. The playground equipment was not very safe. The pool looked like it would be nice in the summer time. The interstate noise was not loud at all. Sites were also very level. Overall we were happy because we had a quiet restful day and a good night's sleep.

We were here during the Cherry Blossom Festival so the campground was almost full by the time we got there at 6:00. They don't take reservations so we were pretty lucky that we got a site. We had a very hard time getting our travel trailer parked because of the very narrow roads and steep ditches. There was a lot of chatter and traffic to and from the bathhouse until pretty late. But, the good stuff about the campground was that there was a beautiful view on the lake at sunset and sunrise and there was a lot to do there. Also, the bathhouse was very clean and showers were roomy.

We paid Good Sam's rates and camped here on Valentine's weekend. We stayed in one of the new sites which were really easy to maneuver into. It rained all weekend but it was still a good visit. The lobby was very nice and the gym had 3 pieces of cardio equipment. I noticed that they had massage rooms so I'm assuming you can get a massage during your stay. The pool area looked really nice. The showers were very large and private. We plan to camp here a lot in the future. Can't wait to go back when it's warm enough to enjoy the amenities!

We stayed here for two nights during Auburn's football season and it was really nice to be able to have a quiet place to come to away from all of the game chaos. There was only one other motor home there all weekend which was nice but I think there's a club that comes in once a month so you may want to check in advance to make sure there will be availability. They keep the lawns very well manicured and it has a beautiful old home at the entrance.
