Eagle's Rest RV Park & Camping, Chadron, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there traveling to Wyoming on highway 20. There are very few places to overnight in western Nebraska. The lady in the office was friendly enough. There are some full timers living there but the park is maintained. There is a gravel road adjacent to the park that is heavily traveled creating lots of dust. We tried to sit out late in the day but couldn't handle the dust. There is WiFi that worked off and on like many parks we've visited. I think $30.00 is a little excessive with little services provided. This park is average, I probably would not stay there again. We camped at Eagle's Rest RV Park & Camping in a Motorhome.

Pine Lake Resort, Olivet, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This was a good park to overnight, however the only had 1 pull thru site that was level & big enough for 40ft MH. Good electric & water service. After we had used dump station owner's son said we owed $10.00 so we paid. $3.oo for AC so site actually cost $33.00. Have 2 port-a-potty & no showers that we saw. Nice sandy beach & boat & raft rental. We camped at Pine Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Trade Winds RV Resort (55+ park), Mission, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This was the worst experience we have had in an RV park. I have never seen a management team treat their seasonal RV'ers and permanent residents with such a rude, arrogant and abusive attitude. Our first time to Tradewinds as a seasonal RV'er, we were caught in the middle of a true battle between long term residents and management. This park even made the local paper because it was illegally evicting residents. This did not include all the "warning letters" that were sent out to some of their most active volunteers. If the atmosphere wasn't bad enough, then not receiving the services they advertise should definitely keep you out of this park. The pool was closed for 8 of the 12 weeks we stayed here. The WiFi was never reliable or consistent and they were actually charging for it across the street at their sister park Mission Bell. There was suppose to be a free phone in the hall that was never connected the whole time we were here. They removed a filtered water machine, ice machine and closed their hall to residents, first at 10pm and when they complained they changed it to 9pm. There are people actually moving their permanent park models out of this park. There is a beautiful dance floor at the Mission Bell park across the street, but you can't attend the public dances without having to stay in the park. When I personally complained about WiFi and closed pool, the Assistant Manager told me I should move to a nearby park. So when my prepaid 3 months was up, I did. They advertise this as a family owned and operated park, but it is being operated by an unrelated management team. We camped at Trade Winds RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

I-35 RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night on our way to winter in the Rio Grand Valley. This is a very clean park with great customer service. The laundry room was clean and they offered a breakfast and supper in their hall for a small fee. The wifi worked very good. This was the second time we stayed in this park and will continue to stay here on our trip south each winter. We camped at I-35 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rockin J (Formerly Smith RV Park), George West, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on way to RVG in a Motorhome. Everything worked well and park is well kept. There was not anybody monitoring the park, we had to put money in envelope and box as owners weren't there. Good and reasonable price park for overnight stay or short visit to the area. We camped at Rockin J (Formerly Smith RV Park) in a Motorhome.
