Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We accidentally found this park on the net. We called and booked a week. We were here for one hour and changed our week to one month - then after two hours, changed it again to 2 months!! We were supposed to leave last week, but changed it again and added another week. We love this park!!! Besides not having to pay extra for EVERYTHING (electricity, ice, pop, coffee and donuts for the Monday morning meeting (certainly not mandatory), etc) are all included in the monthly rate. The owners are wonderful!!!! It is a very friendly park with lots of activities. You can keep busy all day with everything that is scheduled - or just sit back and do nothing but enjoy the weather if that is your choice. We have already made our reservations for next year. Yes, the sites are kind of close together, but due to the wonderful owners, the wonderful scenery, trails into the desert start right from the park, and everyone being so friendly, it doesn't matter that the sites are close. Some sites have more room than others. If you return year after year, your chances of getting a larger site increase greatly. If you like a park that looks like your suburban area at home and you are parking in your driveway (except for better weather) than this is not the park for you. If you enjoy cactus, great scenery, wonderful and friendly owners, tons of activities and even the chance to do a lot of volunteer work for great causes (like making dolls for hospitals and so many more, there are too many to mention) and friendly people, than this is the park for you. It certainly is the park for us. This is a very popular park (we met several people who have been coming here every year for 10 years), and I kind of hate to give them this glowing report and make it even harder for us to get in here - but the owners certainly deserve it! We camped at Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park) in a Motorhome.
