San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA, Petaluma, California

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second time visiting this park. There are lots of things for kids to do at this park and the park itself is very family friendly. This park is about 40 minutes north of San Francisco but it is the best park to stay at if visiting the city. They have about 48 channels but did not get the SF Giants games, which was a bummer. The campground gets very busy and noisy on the weekends. Very dog friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA, Hammond, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

I absolutely LOVE this KOA. This is our second time staying here and each time it seems to get better. We had a large, corner site with a nice fire pit and plenty of room to move around. The kids love the jump pillow and the playgrounds. Very pet friendly. Clean laundry room. Very well stocked store. Close to the beach and local attractions. Wi-Fi was good. We camped at Astoria / Warrenton / Seaside KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Burnaby Cariboo RV Park and Campground, Burnaby, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

I loved this place. We had a very large site in the back of the park. The only problem is the train right behind the park that goes through all day and night. No horns, but loud engine noise that shook the trailer. No Wi-Fi available at your site. You have to be in the office or laundry room to use it. Tall hedges between sites for privacy, nice playground and indoor pool. Close to Vancouver. Has nice laundry facilities and store. We camped at Burnaby Cariboo RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA, Port Angeles, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was very run down. Not what a KOA usually is. The playground is very dangerous with a slide that little ones can fall off of the side of and very splintery play equipment. The mini golf course was a trip hazard. Wi-Fi was absolutely horrid. Overheard the owners speaking about it being the campers fault that they couldn't log on to the Wi-Fi since it worked great for them in the office. Also, the owners didn't seem to like little kids being in the shop at all. My kids were all asked not to touch the toys. KIDS TOUCH TOYS. That is how they decide if they like it! I'd find another place to stay if I were to travel back to the area. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Banff NP. A long drive with lots of construction along the way. Nice RV park, no frills. Nice laundry facilities, playground for the kids and a fire pit. They have big horned sheep that came into the camp ground each morning. We camped at Whispering Spruce Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice, no frills campground close to Calgary. Small playground, gravel sites, nice large pull throughs with fire pits. Wi Fi worked well, laundry room was clean and easy to use. All in all, a great stay. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was a no frills RV Park. Nice for a one night stop over. Basically just a nice place with hook ups to spend the night. The river next to the park was a nice treat. We camped at Chase Lions RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Great Park! Very beautiful setting, nice country feel to the place. The camp hosts were very nice and accommodating. Only negative could be that the train is very close to some of the sites. Didn't bother us but it could bother some. We camped at Blue Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Seattle / Tacoma KOA, Kent, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second time staying at this park. It is an okay park for visiting Seattle. Very pricey though. They charged us an extra $24 for our 2 kids on top of the $58 per night. Just seemed like a rip off but it is the only park close to Seattle. The sites are pretty level and the hookups are fine. No cable and internet access was not consistent. We camped at Seattle / Tacoma KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Betabel RV Park, San Juan Bautista, California

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Monterey and San Jose which were not far at all. The park is very clean and quiet, and the pull through sites have plenty of room to move around with hedges between the sites for privacy. Lots of nice grassy areas for kids and dogs to run around. This is a no frills RV park. Only wi-fi hot spots and no playground for the kids, but for the price, you cannot beat it. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
