Heber Springs COE, Heber Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

One of our favorite campgrounds. Electric only sites, but a dump station is available. Lots of trees, boat launch and marina are available in the park. Many of the sites have been rebuilt in the last 2 years do to flooding 3 years ago. We camped at Heber Springs COE in a Travel Trailer.

Cloud Nine Park, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

A nice, quiet, RV park with paved road and gravel sites that are fairly level. Has great views, a clean bathhouse and a nice clubhouse with pool, darts, and horseshoes. Located about 12 miles from Hot Springs. Very helpful staff: we had trouble with online Magic Springs tickets and the staff helped every way they could. Watch for the signs on Hwy 70 near the entrance to the park. We camped at Cloud Nine Park in a Travel Trailer.

Shepard State Park, Gautier, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

It was what I was expecting in a state park. Gravel roads and sites. Fairly level. Lots of space between sites. Electricity and water in each site. It was very quiet while we were there. However, we will not be returning for 2 reasons. 1. The bugs. We literally were not able to sit outside because of gnat like critters biting us. Spraying OFF made no noticable difference. 2. We arrived on Thursday and the bathhouse was not cleaned or restocked until we finally caught someone in the office Saturday morning and complained. It was cleaned and refilled by that afternoon. If it had not been for the insects, we probably would return again. We camped at Shepard State Park in a Travel Trailer.
