This was the first time for us to stay at this park. It is a very nice park run by the Army Core of Engineers. The park has a combination of electric and non-electric sites. The park is covered by large trees and the lake is also very large. The restroom in our area was new and was very nice and clean. The drives and pads are gravel. They are very long but the approach is rather narrow on some, so backing can be difficult. The pad area was level but the drive was up hill which caused some tire spin on the rocks. Our site (22), and some of the others were a little close together. They do not charge a daily fee per person. We even had other family come to the park for the day and they were not charged them at all. The rate was $20.00 a day total. We will be back.

Like stated in some of the other posts, the beautiful shade trees and landscaped areas are where the residents live. I would have given them a higher rating.I was a little disappointed, it looks much nicer on the web site. They have planted trees in the short term area but they are not developed as of yet. The park was clean and pretty nice and the fenced dog run area was welcomed by our dogs. This is not a park to sit around and relax in as it is a large park and it is busy. It is not an out of the way camp ground. It is in a very developed area of SA. It is a big city and it is not going to be all quiet and tranquil. But, the noise was not an issue as far as we were concerned. It is a great location to stay when visiting the city. It is easy in and out, pretty close to major highway/express ways. We were in town to visit family and go shopping. If you are going to SA you are going to be out doing things (that is what makes SA great!) and this park is a fine place to come back to and sleep. If you want to sit around outside your RV and look at the scenery and listen to the birds, stay outside of the city in the hill country.

This was the first time to stay at this park. it was very clean and the staff was polite. You can not see the river from most of the sites, but water access is just a short walk. The park is small and secure. I have two children (9&11) and I had no problem letting them ride around and play in the park. The bath rooms were exceptional. They were always clean and they have good size shower rooms! We had reservation for Graner State Park for Labor Day weekend, but have canceled them to stay here again. Rates seem to vary (based on some of the posts on this site), I assume it is seasonal. Labor Day Weekend is $39.00. Great Park. I suggested a couple of things to them. They do not have a dog run. Dogs are welcomed but there is no place to let them off the leash. A small play ground would be nice for the kids.
