Came here because of the Internet photos (which have changed on there web site in the last 2 weeks with NOT many pictures of the RV parking area) and recommendations of the people below me on this site. Boy was I mislead. First there is no RV site that can see any water, period. Also the previous posters need to understand the difference between a pond and a lake. There are small ponds here, not a lake. Second, the RV park is a field with no shade trees at all. Third, you are parked along the outside of the (football field as I call it) field by the dirt road in an L shaped formation with 16 sites long ways and 4 on the other part that form and L shape. Now for the bad part. We inquired about monthly stay 2 weeks before arrival and the owner quoted a price. We did arrive 2 weeks later (I have a brand new RV so don’t even think that I was turned down because of an older RV) and the first thing that was told to me was "we do not have monthly sites.”. Clearly, several of the sites and some around the office and barn have guest who have been staying here for a long time. Honestly I was glad because with no cable, no shade, no Wi-Fi except around the office (at least they have a strong signal there), no pond view, no posted rate on the Internet, which should have been my first clue; there was no desire to stay longer than 1 day. This park changes rules almost daily so please beware what was told to you before arrival may not be what you get when you arrive. Why bother coming here when the price changes without notice, no cable, no shade, no pond or water view (which there earlier website showed a fiver by the water with the impression that all sites were like that and by the way has been replaced with a website that has little information) but man they sure talk about being close to the “Historic District”. For a nightly rate of almost 50 dollars forget it. The people who run this place are far more impressed with their field than I ever was. Buyers beware. Oh and if you inquire about anything at this park by email then don’t expect a quick answer because hardly ever anyone in the office during the day. They post there cell phone numbers and you get to track them down. Oops and the train at 11 PM and 3 AM was a real joy. Shook the entire RV while passing by. THIS IS A FARM FIRST AND AN RV PARK SECOND. This park is managed by cell phone, not someone in the office to answer questions you might have. It is like you have to ask for permission to do anything here. They do not like drop in arrivals either. It was made clear that the way they want it to work was by reservation only. Not a comfortable feeling at all. You can be the nicest owner but at some point you have to decide if you want to farm or manage an RV park. You are better off at the Flying J – it is about the same experience but at least you kept your 50 dollars.

Easy in and out of this park. Like the guy who built it says, "He did this with big rig access in mind." ALL SITES are pull through which is very nice. Lady in the office was nice, helpful, and informative. We had site 13B, and our dogs just loved the open grassy area surrounding this park. Would stay here again.

Gravel sites with grass between them. Lady in the office was very nice. Please beware of the taxes in this state. Site was 33 but with taxes it came to 43 dollars, so just a heads up on that part. Easy in and out and a Pilot to fuel your vehicle. If you use diesel then go to the back of the Pilot store where the trucks are and turn in by the Pilot building itself (pump 21-22) as it is marked for RV's. Would stay there again if passing by that way.

Previous posts about the smoker are correct, but I used to smoke so I never hold that against anyone. Park is right off of 1-20 but quiet. Green grass everywhere, and it was very easy to navigate my 40foot fiver around with ease. Would stay here again.

Park was just fine. People who registered us were happy and joking around and very helpful with answering our questions. Eddie was great at parking us and also very humorous. I gave it an 8 out of 10 because the interior road could use a little work. Really an easy in easy out park. Even though you were right next to 1-20 there is no noise. I would stay here again. I have a 40foot fiver with 3 slides and there was plenty of room for it as well as my dually long bed truck.

First I am glad the previous poster got his slide fixed by a workamper but he said NOTHING about the park and gave it a rating of 10. People this park is a 3 at best. Scroll down to Turtle Rock Resort at the bottom of this page. They got bad reviews and changed the name on this site to start over hoping for better reviews. Lets see. Holes in streets all throughout the park, Wi-Fi works only in half the park, cable stations (only 9 ) are of such poor quality you might as well not even bother to hook it up. ON second thought my rating of a 3 is actually to high. Do not waste your money at this place. And PLEASE DO NOT GO BY THE WEBSITE PICTURES. YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU DO.

This is a park next to the Rogue River. If you enjoy fishing this is the place to be. Very quiet at night, and friendly owners. It is 6 miles from Hwy 101 but compared to the parks along 101 it is a much better choice as I have stayed at the other parks. You can catch the jet boat rides from here. You can walk to Tu Tu Tun Lodge next door and have a 5 course meal (call ahead) as this is a 5 star resort. Will stay here again.

WOW where to begin. The interior roads have potholes everywhere. The free Wi-Fi is a joke. I found out from others that it only works (and poorly) in a few sites up front. 90% of the sites have no Wi-Fi. The manager told me it was my computer. Another guest said" Well mine does not work either, is it both of our computers?" He replied that he would look into it..for the 2 days we were there it was NOT looked into and never did work. Then the free cable..12 stations and 7 of them are so fuzzy that it is just not worth the trouble. But like a idiot I ask about that one and was told it had to be my cable running into my rig. Lets see I have traveled for 11 months now and not one problem before I entered this dump and not one problem with computer or cable since I left. Overheard someone (behind a door) yelling at a work camper (told it was a work camper later that day) because the work camper did not want to go tell someone in one of the cottages that their rent was 30 bucks a night more than they were quoted. Their is absolutely no reason for anyone to stay here unless you are about to pass out and need to pull off of Hwy 101 for the night. The bathhouse needs painting real bad, the tile in the bathhouse is very old. The sites are not level and are made of rock...gee when I think of Resort this place has ZERO of that going for it. Buyer beware because their are a lot better parks in the area than this one.

Park has nothing and is just a big parking lot with close sites. Since it is open to the public for the ocean access kids come down at night, get drunk and play music very loud. There is nothing green here, not one flower. If you want to park by the ocean come here but don't be shocked when the dreariness of this place gets to you. It is not worth the effort to get into here in my opinion.

The pictures on the web are not showing the true beauty of this place. The owner just spent thousands on plants and flowers. The clubhouse has a new coat of paint, new tile in the lobby, hanging baskets of flowers are everywhere. I don't know about all the parks in Oregon but I can honestly say that this park is by far the best from the California border all the way to Port Orford, about 130 miles up the coast. The Chetco River is 20 feet away so you dont have to go anywhere to fish, unless you just wanted to. They have a large freezer (locked of course) so you can freeze your catch until ready to leave. Clubhouse has a pool table, treadmill, fooseball table, boflex workout gym and large screen tv both down and upstairs in the clubhouse. Bathrooms and showers are spotless. We are so happy that we extended our stay for 2 months. Free wi-fi, 70 channels of cable tv and very friendly workampers willing to help in any way. One workamper lent me HIS 50 amp extension cord just so I could have a better view of the river. Paid 370 for a month plus electric which was only 34 bucks more. Can't wait till next summer as we plan on staying for 3 full months next year.

Not much out here but the park has level sites and the owner is very nice. He likes dogs also. If you are looking for a getaway place to unwind then come here. If you are looking to be entertained then this park will probably disappoint you. It is quiet here and remote. Would stay again if I pass this way.

Park is almost full of permanents. I would not say this park is big rig friendly either. And wow when you read the website then arrive you are shocked. Waterfall is a pile of rocks by the gate maybe 3 feet high. This is one park where the web pictures are very very misleading. The employee we dealt with was nice.

Date of Stay:

Right off I-5 but quiet. Small shopping center and McDonalds within walking distance. Petro across the highway with Iron Skillet. Very nice stop so decided to stay 2 days. Lady tried hard to give us a discount but we are only Passport America card holders. They honor all other discount cards. Still stayed because of stream outside and nice trees. This is Oregon as I had dreamed of it. Green, light breeze, 80 degrees and just down right pretty around here. Will stay here again. Sites are level and all are pull-thru. Stayed here in a fifth wheel.

Date of Stay:

The pool is clean, and restrooms are upgraded. Almost all the sites are well shaded and level (gravel), with lots of green grass. They are upgrading this park, and we would stay here again. The park is quiet.

Date of Stay:

Sites are very wide. Parked my 40 ft fiver and my F350 dually crew cab on same site. Sites have water, sewer, and electric on both sides of sites so use either one that fits the bill. Not much out here but several fast food places and 3 places to get diesel very close by. I would stay here again if I come back this way someday. Some shade but that is not something I am interested in as my fiver has the dish on top so I dont like trees much for just a one night stay. Stayed here in a fifth wheel.
