Excellent location for bicycling throughout city of Alpena. We camped on the back side of fairgrounds with our motorhome facing serene wetlands with a great view of a beautiful sunset, swans, geese and ducks. Paved bike path ran right by our parking spot. Very quiet, spacious, very few other campers.

Date of Stay:

Very clean and quiet park that mostly serves the age 55+ crowd. Easy drive to nearby parks and Lake Huron. Most campers are seasonal, with only about 5 sites open for short term campers. Roads are gravel and well maintained. Sites were good size for our 40' with 4 slides out. No camp fires are allowed except at a couple of designated gathering areas.

Park is about 45 minutes from downtown Euclid but there are no other parks any closer. Nice park for families. Grass areas beside our site were waterlogged and could not be used, due to recent rains. Road to our site was very narrow and it required helpful neighbor to guide our motorhome into our site.

Stayed one night for short tour of Amish country. Ideal location for our tour. Very clean park, all pull-thru sites and good access for large motorhome. They allowed us to park the motorhome in an adjacent lot on day of checkout while we toured with our toad, no extra charge. Friendly, family owned and operated, shows pride of ownership!

We stayed here one night and found it to be very accommodating. It is a no frills, all gravel park, but is close to the Acoma pueblo. They had no pull-through sites remaining, so they allowed us to park our big rig and trailer adjacent to 3 back-in sites. (They were not too crowded that day). The casino is small but fun, and they had a "2 for the price of 1" steak dinner deal at their restaurant.

This park is a great location to be near the Grand Canyon sites, and is on the park shuttle bus route so you do not need to use your car. Streets and camp sites are quite narrow and a bit tight for big rigs. We were not able to park our motorhome with the car trailer attached, so we parked the trailer nearby. The water hookup froze both nights we were there, so be prepared to use RV water and/or use a hair dryer to thaw the exposed hookup pipe.

We spent two nights here and found it to be pleasant, well maintained and very quiet. The Manager was very helpful. He found us a long pull-through site to accommodate our 40' motorhome along with our 20' car trailer. He also arranged to have our propane tank filled, since the delivery was scheduled for a day we were here. The roads are paved and quite narrow, but we were able to drive the big rig and trailer to and from our site with no problems.
