Turtle Kraal RV Park, Alton, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one week in mid-October and toured the lakes region and White Mountains areas, and viewed beautiful fall leaves. The campground is very spacious and clean. Interior roads and sites were gravel and roads had quite a few potholes, but good access with our large motorhome. For some reason there is no laundry facility, which is not acceptable for such a large and fairly pricey CG. We camped at Turtle Kraal RV Park in a Motorhome.

Meadowcrest Campground, Marshfield, Vermont

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very small park and a bit tight for a full size motorhome, but the owners were very helpful to get us into our back-in space with no issues. We stayed here for one week to visit Burlington, Stowe and other sites within 1 hour drive. Noise from the nearby highway could be an issue for some, but we always use "sound machines" to cover noise when sleeping, so it was fine. WIFI was typical of most CGs, ie, not real good. No TV cable or on-air channels available. Overall good value camping rate and very friendly owners! We camped at Meadowcrest Campground in a Motorhome.

Mt. Greylock Campsite Park (formerly Hidden Valley Campground), Lanesborough, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there three nights in late October to tour Mt Graylock and Berkshire sites. Owners are very friendly and doing a good job making improvements. The activity room is spacious and the fireplace made it very comfortable on the cool evenings watching World Series games on the big screen TV. WIFI was extra cost at campsites, but available free at office/activity room areas. No black water sewer dump at the sites but gray water could be dumped. Sites were spacious, heavily tree covered and the area is beautiful. We camped at Mt. Greylock Campsite Park (formerly Hidden Valley Campground) in a Motorhome.

Dorset RV Park, Dorset, Vermont

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for five nights in mid-October and toured the Green Mountains areas. This is a good CG for visits to beautiful Manchester and Dorset. There were very few other campers there. Pull-thru site was adequate but a bit tight exiting with our large MH due to trees. Hook-ups were good, WIFI okay. Laundry area was clean and good. We camped at Dorset RV Park in a Motorhome.

Brookwood RV Resort, Ticonderoga, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed two nights in early October and toured the area looking for fall colors and visited Lake Placid and Lake George areas. Campground is clean and our pull-through site was easily accessible with our motorhome. The store/office was very nice with many items and nice décor. Camping price is high for what they offer. We could not get WIFI to work at our site as our three devices could not find their network; owner did not seem interested to investigate and resolve. We camped at Brookwood RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Royal Gorge / Canon City KOA, Canon City, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Great location for our visit to Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. CG is very quiet and the RV sites are wide, but just long enough for our 40' motorhome without toad connected. New owner is very friendly and eager to please. WIFI worked great, best of any CG we visited this year. We camped at Royal Gorge / Canon City KOA in a Motorhome.

St Paul East RV Park, Woodbury, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here five nights while visiting family in St. Paul. The park is clean and fairly well maintained. However, our site was short and narrow for our motorhome and when another motorhome pulled into the site next to ours, our slideouts were within 2' of each other. We had no sewer hookup and bad Wifi, and believe their pricing is far too high for what you get. Finally, when leaving the park we had to dump our waste tanks. The dump station is next to the busy entry driveway, so we waited for 15 minutes to get access. There was no garden hose hook-up to properly flush our Sewer Solutions dump hose, so I suggested to the CG owner that a hose hook-up should be installed to an existing fitting to improve the dump. He immediately denied there was any problem, and things escalated to the point where he threw us out and said we will not be permitted to return. We had never had this problem in 9 years of camping and will happily not return! We camped at St Paul East RV Park in a Motorhome.

Alpena County Fairgrounds, Alpena, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent location for bicycling throughout city of Alpena. We camped on the back side of fairgrounds with our motorhome facing serene wetlands with a great view of a beautiful sunset, swans, geese and ducks. Paved bike path ran right by our parking spot. Very quiet, spacious, very few other campers. We camped at Alpena County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tawas RV Park, Tawas City, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and quiet park that mostly serves the age 55+ crowd. Easy drive to nearby parks and Lake Huron. Most campers are seasonal, with only about 5 sites open for short term campers. Roads are gravel and well maintained. Sites were good size for our 40' with 4 slides out. No camp fires are allowed except at a couple of designated gathering areas. We camped at Tawas RV Park in a Motorhome.

Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA, Streetsboro, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Park is about 45 minutes from downtown Euclid but there are no other parks any closer. Nice park for families. Grass areas beside our site were waterlogged and could not be used, due to recent rains. Road to our site was very narrow and it required helpful neighbor to guide our motorhome into our site. We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Motorhome.

Berlin RV Park and Campground, Millersburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night for short tour of Amish country. Ideal location for our tour. Very clean park, all pull-thru sites and good access for large motorhome. They allowed us to park the motorhome in an adjacent lot on day of checkout while we toured with our toad, no extra charge. Friendly, family owned and operated, shows pride of ownership! We camped at Berlin RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Dancing Eagle RV Park, Casa Blanca, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night and found it to be very accommodating. It is a no frills, all gravel park, but is close to the Acoma pueblo. They had no pull-through sites remaining, so they allowed us to park our big rig and trailer adjacent to 3 back-in sites. (They were not too crowded that day). The casino is small but fun, and they had a "2 for the price of 1" steak dinner deal at their restaurant. We camped at Dancing Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.

Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a great location to be near the Grand Canyon sites, and is on the park shuttle bus route so you do not need to use your car. Streets and camp sites are quite narrow and a bit tight for big rigs. We were not able to park our motorhome with the car trailer attached, so we parked the trailer nearby. The water hookup froze both nights we were there, so be prepared to use RV water and/or use a hair dryer to thaw the exposed hookup pipe. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Greer's Pine Shadows, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We spent two nights here and found it to be pleasant, well maintained and very quiet. The Manager was very helpful. He found us a long pull-through site to accommodate our 40' motorhome along with our 20' car trailer. He also arranged to have our propane tank filled, since the delivery was scheduled for a day we were here. The roads are paved and quite narrow, but we were able to drive the big rig and trailer to and from our site with no problems. We camped at Greer's Pine Shadows in a Motorhome.
