Bristol / Kingsport KOA, Blountville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park for a few days. It was ok. Not the best that I have been in and it’s not the worst. There are not a lot of happy people working in this park. If the staff is not happy ….. then no one camping there is going to be happy. The showers and bath were not maintained as well as they should have been. It was just an OK place to stay. Next time I’m going to try somewhere else. We camped at Bristol / Kingsport KOA in a Motorhome.

Whispering River Resort (formerly Misty River Cabins & RV Resort), Walland, Tennessee

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We had a great experience at this campground. The owners were very nice and it is a very friendly park. The location is very convenient to both Cades Cove and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. They also have a great playground for kids with a pool and hot tub. The bath house is just unbelievable! They are private bathrooms. You don’t have to share the bathroom with anyone you don’t know. Its just like a bathroom at your house. The sites are flat and wide. We had a 40 motor home with a 30 foot trailer and had no problems moving around the park. They even had a pull thru site to fit us. The wi-fi was strong and cable was good. We will be back. We camped at Whispering River Resort (formerly Misty River Cabins & RV Resort) in a Motorhome.
