We don't normally stay at the KOA's and now we know why. We spent a nights stay at the Holbrook KOA and we were NOT impressed. We felt like sardines in their very small spaces. We had a popup trailer next to us and could hear everything from them. We only have a 24'class C, but any one with slides would be right up against the person next to them. All the dogs seemed to behave themselves, but a lot of kids screaming and running around acted worse than any dog I've seen. We had our AAA book and it said SPECIAL RATES FOR AAA $19-$21, we brought the book in and they said, OH, sorry those are wrong prices. This has happened at every KOA campground we've stayed at. It was $26 for only electric and water, if we wanted anything else like sewer or cable it was more. The WiFi was $5.95 and then we tried to get tuned in and it didn't work, the staff was of no help. We were very disappointed with the grounds. We took our dogs to the 'dog run' area and there was huge ant hills with killer biting ants and we spent the next hour picking out stickers from all the brush around. Road noise was awful from I-40. It did have clean showers, in the tent area, but the front ones were just OK. We wouldn't stay at this KOA again and we aren't picky, have stayed in the Wal Mart parking lot with more amendities. The Woodalls book's review was great, so trusted that, but won't again. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.
