Railside RV Ranch, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, mostly gravel. We were in Williams prior to the "busy season" so downtown was busy and open but not too crowded. Campground had a van to take you wherever you wanted to go, very nice. Took the train to Grand Canyon: really nice but we love old trains. Park was mostly gravel, but had a wonderful hot tub and sauna. Trains were nearby but only in the late am and early pm going and coming from the Grand Canyon. We camped at Railside RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

In town was fun, went to Red Raven restaurant twice: very nice. Town was a little touristy but good for an evening or two. Train to Grand Canyon was fun. We did the high end tickets that gave access to the entire train and went up in the observation car and back in a "private car." The front office set up the entire trip and the van took us to the station and picked us up. Also if you golf, play Elephant Rock course. Good course and great views.

Nice park across street. This park is advertised as part of a dealership with a RV museum, however that is on the other side of town a few miles away. Museum is worth the time to visit.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Van Buren, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We found this park as we were driving through southern Missouri. It was early in their season but the park has an incredible setting. Right on the Current river. If you look at the website you will see it is very family oriented with a pool, new kids pool play area, playground, activities including tubing and swimming in the beautiful river, and onsite restaurant and is next to a decent 9 hole golf course (by others). They book tubing and rafting trips on site and has a decent store. We would love to be here in season and enjoy the river. All facilities were clean and recently renovated. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in a Motorhome.

A clean park near Charlotte and next to the race tracks. As said above not a destination park but a good clean place to stay near the north side of Charlotte. We camped at Charlotte Motor Speedway Campground in a Motorhome.

A nice park on south side of DC. Facilities are part of a larger park that includes a marina, hiking trails, pool complex, and general recreation and picnic areas. We saw wonderful wildlife at the campground and would stay there again. We camped at Pohick Bay Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Decent location, Could be very nice but is not kept up as well as it could be. Some sites do not drain well and were very muddy. We camped at Adventure Bound Camping Resorts (formerly Duncan's) in a Motorhome.

Lake Fairfax Park, Reston, Virginia

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice park near DC. Camping is part of a county park that has a water park (extra fee but discounted for campers) lake, stream, playgrounds, and sporting fields. The sites were very nice and very well kept. The only reason for less than a 10 is no water or sewer sites, you must us a dump station and water fill that are located nearby. They have just opened a new park office and are upgrading the overall facilities. Overall a good place to stay for DC. We camped at Lake Fairfax Park in a Motorhome.

Flatrock COE, Coleman, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

A COE campground that is combined together with Flatrock and Lakeside due to staffing shortages. A smallish lake is the centerpiece - water was low due to drought. Some sites not level but as with most COE's the sites are very large and many on the water. We stayed in the lakeside area and would stay in any of it. Group facilities were especially nice, 8 or more RV's with common hall or pavilion and own restrooms and some kitchens. We camped at Flatrock COE in a Motorhome.

Harrah's Tunica Mid-South RV Park (Closed), Robinsonville, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a fantastic facility that needs to be maintained a bit better. We have stayed here for years, and this trip the grass needs cutting, and access to the very nice rec area needs to have better hours and a bit better maintenance. Horseshoe pits are growing over etc. We hope someone will get the message and clean this up a bit. We will stay here again. We camped at Harrah's Tunica Mid-South RV Park (Closed) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very nice campground, well landscaped and very good common facilities. Only negative was sites are a bit narrow, 20 - 22 feet but it felt better than that due to landscaping. Would camp here again We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

Potters Creek Park COE, Canyon Lake, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We love COE parks. This one was well maintained and very open with fewer trees and nice waterfront sites. As with most COE parks quiet and a bit remote. Herds of deer and an amazing lightning storm were seen. A day trip to Gruene was very nice. We camped at Potters Creek Park COE in a Motorhome.
