Badlands / White River KOA, Interior, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Our GPS led us through the Badlands State Park. At first we were remiss that we had to pay the 15.00 dollars to get to the campground, but it was well worth it. The scenery just outside the campground is breathtaking. The sites were large and the trees ( the only trees within 50 miles) made the campground that much more comfortable. The staff was very nice. We would camp here again if we were in the area. We camped at Badlands / White River KOA in a Motorhome.

Deadwood KOA, Deadwood, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground set in the side of a hill just outside Deadwood. The sites are on multiple levels and in a motor coach it can be challenging. The sites are very tight but the hourly free shuttle to and from Deadwood (casinos, good food) made it bearable. The staff was very friendly. I will stay in Spearfish (8 miles away) only because 30 ft campers should be the size limit. We camped at Deadwood KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground. The staff was very friendly even though this was a very busy campground . The sites were clean and level. The pool very clean. I suggest making a reservation in advance to be able to get a site. Easy on and off. We would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Sioux Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

Coloma / St. Joseph KOA, Riverside, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We usually find that if we stay at a KOA campsite, we are assured that our stay will be enjoyable. Thank goodness that the weather was good because every full hookup site with 50amp is dirt. The park is small, fairly clean with absolutely no service. Garbage is your responsibility which includes a 2 block walk to the only dumpster available. The pool was clean but the three inch foam on the spa was probably do to the 7, under 12 year, kids that rotated in and out. No one takes you to your site and with no street signs it can be a challenge for newbies. Much better facilities closer to St. Joe, so I wont be back. We camped at Coloma / St. Joseph KOA in a Motorhome.

Covert / South Haven KOA, Covert, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

The park is always clean and the people are very friendly and helpful. Has blue berry patches surrounding the park and you are able to pick them for a small fee. The pool is very clean and the hayride was great entertainment for the kids. I've been here 3X and will return for weekends. We camped at Covert / South Haven KOA in a Motorhome.

Bear Cave Resort, Buchanan, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

People in the park were very friendly. After you check in, you're left to choose any site available. Sites are gravel, grass all relatively level. Big rigs have no problem after you get into the park. The entrance is tight with low hanging branches but we were able to squeeze in. We would probably not return. We camped at Bear Cave Resort in a Motorhome.

We always stay here on our trips south. Everything is included and very nice. A long pull-through site made life easy. Very price-friendly for a KOA. We will be back. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

Battlefield Campground & RV Park (formerly Lookout Mt/Chatt South KOA), Ringgold, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We found this park to be relatively clean and had just enough room to manuever to the site with our toad. The site was level but the noise from the highway made us decide to not return. The winery at the entrance was a nice change but closes by 5:00 pm.There are plenty of other parks within 10 miles so we will be exploring other parks when we drive south. We camped at Battlefield Campground & RV Park (formerly Lookout Mt/Chatt South KOA) in a Motorhome.

Benton KOA, Benton, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this campground under the assumption that it was close to the expressway. To our surprise, we had to drive 2 miles, through very narrow streets, to the location that was located 100 ft. from the highway. The noise from the traffic was so loud, we had to keep the windows closed and the TV volume turned up. This park can safely accommodate motorhomes 30 foot or under. The staff was very nice and helpful, but the park location (along the expressway) made this park one we would never return to. We camped at Benton KOA in a Motorhome.

Lake City Campground & Resort, Lake City, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The park and pool are very clean. The owners are very helpful in every way. We have stayed overnight several times and each time the park is improved. I would have given the park a higher rating but the water pressure was very low. The location is only 45 minutes from Jacksonville We would stay here again overnight. We camped at Lake City Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.
