A large park with lots of pull through sites. Paved roads but gravel spaces, which aren't completely level. Great staff and lots of services. Very little road noise but the train runs by pretty close. Very easy on and off Hwy 58. We will stay here again on our way through. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The resort has lots of amenities for those wintering in Mesa. It has a great pool and picnic area. There are premium spaces which are basically double wide. The resort needs to add better security and there were frequent water outages. The local cable is sub-par but usable. Lots of intermixed park models. They were 55+ but because of the economy they have lowered their age requirements. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course, Borrego Springs, California

Date of Stay: November, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Probably the finest resort we have stayed in. Very quiet with great staff and well maintained grounds. Drop dead gorgeous scenery. Book early as this is a hidden gem. Bring a pressure regulator as they have very high water pressure. We had a great time hiking and biking. Borrego Springs is pretty small so stock up some before showing up. Beautiful golf course setting. There are a few good restaurants in town with one small grocery. We plan to come back for a month in the Spring. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Vineyard RV Park, Vacaville, California

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Mostly a long term resident park. For the price there isn't much here. Most interior roads are rough, uneven gravel. Many sites are not level. Have to wonder why a park would have speed bumps throughout which play havoc with the coach. Staff is very friendly and helpful but reservations don't seem to mean too much so if you have a big rig be careful where they try to place you as some sites are very small and you may not get your slide out. Location is good however. Plenty of shopping and services in Vacaville. Camping World is about 2 miles away. Napa Valley is about a 30 minute drive. We camped at Vineyard RV Park in a Motorhome.

Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff, California

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Fantastic park. New with lots of amenities. Some spaces overlooking the river. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy access in and out. Lassen Volcanic Natl Park is a scenic 1 hour drive away. Price shown was an upgrade fountain site. Some sites are reversible so you can pull in or back in. A little close to I-5 so ask for spaces at back of resort. Beautiful pool area but wish it had been heated. Ask about their club card for frequent visitor discounts. Will return on our annual journeys. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.
