Countryside RV Park, Falfurrias, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The place is kept clean and well groomed. The management is constantly upgrading facilities and doing preventive maintenance on the sites, making this one of the nicest parks we have visited without being expensive. Rate shown is weekly. Daily rate is $30. Activities are as mentioned in previous posts. Laundry has 6 washers and 6 dryers and is well maintained. The only negative is that there are no major TV networks off the air and no cable TV. We camped at Countryside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Horse Creek RV Campground, Circle, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for an overnight with laundromat. The campground is pretty basic but sites are mostly level. The big surprise was the laundromat. It is clean, comfortable and very well kept. There are twelve washers and ten dryers all in perfect working order. The owner is friendly and works to keep the place in good condition. The sites are grassy with some gravel. This is definitely not a destination park but is a good place to stop for a day or few. We camped at Horse Creek RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Jacksonport State Park, Newport, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The place is beautiful and very well kept. Sites are paved. They are a bit short but long enough for a big rig if you back all the way to the curbs. We had to park the truck diagonal across the front but there was room. A dump is available but no sewer connection at the sites. Rate shown is the basic rate. There is a 25% discount for people over 62 if out of state. For in state residents, that is a 50% discount. We will certainly return if in the area. We camped at Jacksonport State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mayflower County Park, Blythe, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

The rate of 12.50/day reflects the Passport America discount. Sites are spacious but parking is on grass. Driveways are just sand and grass. Some driveways are difficult to get through because of loose sand. The water supply is really gross, as in nothing I could bear to taste. The park is too far from cell towers for reliable service, at least on my Sprint cell. Verizon air card service was weak. The good: the park is in a scenic location on the Colorado River and is a peaceful setting for a relaxing stay. We camped at Mayflower County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cypress Grove RV Park, Gold Hill, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a clean and well kept park in a scenic area. Sites are gravel, not spacious but big enough for most rigs. Management seems friendly and helpful. TV cable works fine here with sharp pictures and a good selection of networks. I did not try the Wi-Fi because we had a good Verizon air card signal. We will come back if we are in the area. We camped at Cypress Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fawndale Oaks RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful location convenient to Interstate 5. The owners are friendly and very responsive to tenants' needs. It is a small park but a very nice place to spend a day or longer. The place is kept clean and well maintained with fairly level sites. Price includes tax. TV cable was weak at our site. To me, that was the only negative. Verizon air card signal was strong so I did not use the Wi-Fi there. We will stay here again if in the area. We camped at Fawndale Oaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Edgington RV Park, Alamogordo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The owners are friendly and very helpful. Sites are level, gravel, and plenty big for most rigs. The rate shown is for Passport America. Site fee includes first 20 kwh of electric usage. Usage above that is an extra. There is an even swap book exchange and clean laundry facilities. Passport rate is not limited to short stays. This is definitely a place we'll come back to when in the area. We camped at Edgington RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lincoln Trail State Park, Marshall, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

I really cannot add anything to what has already been written, but thought that a more recent review was needed. We stayed in the Plainview Campground. The park is still in excellent condition; a beautiful, well maintained park with friendly hosts. Water faucets are readily available, not more than a hundred feet from most sites. Sites are level and easy to get into, even with a big rig. The rate we paid is for out of state campers. We camped at Lincoln Trail State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Onapa RV Park and Campground, Checotah, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This place is convenient to the highway but nicely secluded. As others mentioned, the owners are very nice and are working hard to make this a top notch place to stop. Sites are large enough for any rig and the electric power seems to be stable. Our air card worked here but was slower than in a metro area. There was no TV cable but plenty of off the air TV channels. The rate reflects Passport America discount. We'll definitely stay here again when we're in the area. We camped at Onapa RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sundowner RV Resort, Hayesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

?This place is a gem for mature RV'ers. It's not far from a lake, assorted restaurants and tourist shopping. The entire park is kept clean and neatly landscaped. Management is friendly, helpful and readily available. Many sites are occupied by park models. All are neat and well kept and most are attractively landscaped. All sites are 50 amp and full hookup. TV cable and Wi-Fi are included but Wi-Fi might not be strong enough to reach all sites. We will be back whenever we’re in the area. We camped at Sundowner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate shown is Passport America and includes taxes. The place is clean and very well kept. The management is friendly and accommodating. TV cable and WiFi are strong. Someone with children might want a playground, but for us this place was just about perfect. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Kenanna RV Park, Grayland, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The best attribute of this park is that it is a quiet place to just chill out for a while. There are plenty of restaurants, beaches and other tourist activities just a short drive away but this is a nice place to come to for a rest. Sites are large enough for any rig. The sites are grass, level, and were neatly mowed when we were there. Water is rusty but tastes okay. The cable TV is minimal but does include network stations. The driveway is about a block of potholes, not really a problem unless you like to drive too fast anyway. Sewer connections need to be fixed but there was no noticeable odor. Other facilities seem to be clean and in good repair. The rate shown is based on weekly rate and included tax. We would come again. We camped at Kenanna RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bear Lake North RV Park, Saint Charles, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Management is friendly and frequently makes the rounds in the park. The number of sites includes 34 RV sites and 17 tent sites. There is a large playground with typical swings for small fry, a volleyball net for bigger kids or adults, and plenty of grassy lawn. There is no cable TV but plenty of TV channels are available off your antenna from nearby translator stations. Wi-Fi is free and works well. Price shown does not include 8% tax. Weekly rate is 135 and monthly is 390, plus tax. We would stay here again. We camped at Bear Lake North RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is with Escapees discount and includes taxes. Park is in a beautiful wooded area and has good facilities. WiFi is erratic but with several hubs showing, I was able to get connected. Cellular service is unusable. My only complaint is that the electric service where we were parked was poor. The voltage was 113 to 117 until we tried the air conditioner. Then it dropped to about 101 to 105, dangerously low. I suspect the wiring here is just not heavy enough as even a a few lights dropped the voltage noticeably. In mild weather, this is a nice place to be and we will probably return someday. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Small Country Campground, Louisa, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is definitely a keeper. The sites and facilities are well maintained. Most sites are surrounded with trees but appear to be plenty clear for even large rigs to fit. We parked in the red area: a flat, clear area with easy pull-throughs and a good view of satellites for those desiring that access. This one is a Passport affiliated park so we parked here for half the daily rate. The exception is for holiday weekends, which are at regular rate. We camped at Small Country Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
