Topsail Hill State Preserve, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park, lots of shade, which, in winter blocks out most sun. Well maintained, though lights at many sites were not operating, as at our site. Very quiet and peaceful most of the time. Saw only cement base sites, as ours was, though many had severely broken concrete, as ours did. Many sites being redone. Though a very nice park, we think it a bit overpriced for a state park. Site had W/E/S and cable. No wifi @site, but at camp store. We camped at Topsail Hill State Preserve in a Motorhome.

Grayton Beach State Park, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for one week in February. Some sites have cement pads, others are pea gravel; ours was gravel. Some sites have water, electric, sewer, as ours did. Some do not have sewer. Park was very clean, very quiet, very pleasant. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Grayton Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Orlando NW / Orange Blossom KOA, Apopka, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in this older campground for several days. Though most spaces appear to be in use, it was never uncomfortable. Spaces are close together, but we were fortunate to have pleasant neighbors. Most folks cleaned up after their dogs, a plus. WiFi, for us, was excellent, and relatively fast.
Office staff were cordial, professional, and eager to assist when asked. A work/camper named Tom offered assistance to me when I really needed it, and I wish to thank him publicly; he makes camping a pleasure. Thanks to Tom and the other staff that are so nice. If we are in the area in the future, we'll return to this KOA. We camped at Orlando NW / Orange Blossom KOA in a Motorhome.

Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA, Fort Mill, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Had a flat, level, pull-thru cement site w/good electric, water and sewer connections. Park was clean and appears to be well kept. Halloween party was noisy but not unexpected. Staff at check-in/check-out were pleasant, friendly, and know how to smile. Close to shopping and restaurants. Have stayed her before and will do so again. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Motorhome.

Sioux Falls KOA, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The office staff could not have been nicer! Our site was flat and level, the hook-ups convenient for use. Not many rigs here. The only thing that was bothersome is road noise from interstate highway. Not much to do for that, and it is our choice to stay here. We would do so again. We camped at Sioux Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails, Trenton, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice place: if and when we return we'd gladly stay here again. There is a free shuttle to town; it's near excellent restaurants and the Acadia Nat'l Park. Verizon didn't work well at all: so cell and internet for us was all but nonexistent, which is okay for a few days. The work campers on duty were the best! Spaces are spacious enough; the staff was helpful and when we asked to move they were very accommodating. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA, Saco, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for one night following several in Bar Harbor area. Rain had created puddles, many large, and the site we had was dirt with many large puddles. It was narrow and trees precluded it being a "pull through" as we had to unhook the car. Won't stay here again unless they fill in the depressions that fill with water! Work campers were very nice and helpful. Staff provided great a recommendation for seafood in nearby Orchard Beach: Huot's. Worth going to this area just for that restaurant. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Motorhome.
