South Oaks Manufactured RV & Mobile Home Park, Palmetto, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We called ahead and were told that no one would be in the office when we arrived so just take a site by the office. Park is poorly marked so we had trouble finding it. When we got there, there were no sites by the office that we could see. One of the residents directed us to a site which was a back in. Once we got on the site we found there was no water. The grass was long and hadn't been cut for weeks by the look of it. In the morning we went to the office to pay . It was a filthy mess with papers and stuff all over. The office person did not seem to care that we had no water and didn't offer to refund any money because of it. We would have been better off to just stay at a WalMart !! We camped at South Oaks Manufactured RV & Mobile Home Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pioneer River Resort, Bandera, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a month and plan to return next spring for a month. Managers and office staff were very pleasant and helpful. The park is conveniently located so you can walk to most places downtown. Washrooms, showers and pool were very clean. There are plenty of activities for guests. Sites are close but we didn't find that a problem. We camped at Pioneer River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wednesday steak night at 11th Street Bar is a must. Lots of classic country music to listen to in the town . We were there for a month and always found something to do in the area.

Overall Rating:

Our cost was per night for a one month stay.
Staff and management were very helpful and friendly. The park is very clean and well maintained. Most stores and attractions are within walking distance as the park is conveniently located.
Lots of activities for the park residents during the winter months. The sites are close, but we did not find that a problem. We plan to return next year. We camped at Pioneer River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cane 9 Creek RV Park, Heflin, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived during a rainstorm. The pull through we were put on was muddy and on an incline. The grass was long and has definitely not been cut in weeks. There is no cable and we were only able to get 3 TV channels none of which were popular. We gave the lady who opened the office cash and we were not given a receipt. This was listed as a Passport America park but is no longer. We felt it was way over priced and needed much TLC. On a positive note, the internet was OK. We would not stop here again. We camped at Cane 9 Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Presque Isle Passage, Fairview, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

A very convenient stop over park near the interstate. The ooffice staff were friendly and helpful. There are some long term sites, but all were neat and clean. We used this park as a stop over on the way back to Ontario and would stay here again. We were unable to access wireless internet at our site, but it worked at the office. We camped at Presque Isle Passage in a Fifth Wheel.

Flatwoods KOA, Sutton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We used this park as a stop over on our way back to Ontario. We found it very pricey and we could not access the wireless from our site. It is a clean, well maintained park, but roads are steep and narrow. We would use this park again as there are not many RV parks in the area. We camped at Flatwoods KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Greensboro KOA, Greensboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week while visiting our daughter in Burlington. The park has improved a great deal since we stayed here last spring. The permanent sites are no longer there, and all trailers/rv's must be licenced and newer. It is a convenient place to stay when visiting in the area and also honours Passport America members. Wireless internet is available , but reception is sketchy. We will use this campground again on our way south next fall. We camped at Greensboro KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Fortuna De Oro RV Park (55+), Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 months-Mid Nov. to mid Jan. We paid extra for cable, wireless internet and electric. People in the office were not very friendly. At Christmas our daughter sent us a gift certificate via JC Penny addressed to us, which never arrived in our mail. JC Penny traced it , and it was cashed by the park owner's wife and topped up by her credit card. The park owner paid the money ($75.) back to JC Penny and it was refunded to our daughter after he had been contacted. He said it must have gotten in with all the gift cards they received by mistake. We do not understand how this could have happened as our address was on the envelope. The jam sessions, happy hour and dances at the park were very good and we enjoyed those, but would caution guests to be wary of the mail service. We camped at Fortuna De Oro RV Park (55+) in a Fifth Wheel.
