We had water and electric, pull thru driveway. Nice campground, we have camped here 3 times over the past several years; no cell service. Nice place to get away, some highway noise. We camped at Redstone Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to get any groceries needed in Carbondale which is 18 miles away or before Paonia if coming from the west. Redstone town is quaint and has a few art galleries. Marble is worth a visit as is the drive over McClure pass to Paonia to visit local wineries.

Mountain View RV Park & Campground, Sundance, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place for one night, we have stayed here before. Could not get WiFi, as we were on the end. Level gravel sites, not much for shade but clean area and reasonably quiet. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Metigoshe State Park, Bottineau, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful park with great shade and big pull through site in the reserved section. Only problems were not the park's fault: mosquitos and mud from rain. Otherwise a great place to stay and we will stay here again. We camped at Lake Metigoshe State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, Mandan, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park with lots of space between sites. I had noticed that there were plenty of reserved sites available a few days before, but when we got there, the park ranger said all the "first come/first serve" sites were taken. I asked if we could stay in one of the "reserved" sites and since we were there only one night, he did allow us to do so. Next time I will make a reservation. Some water spigots were spaced far from the RV pad. We camped at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lewis & Clark State Park, Williston, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful park on the Missouri. Level pull throughs with water and electric, except water was on opposite side from electric. Nice shade, lots of birds, very friendly park rangers. Bathrooms were very clean. If we are in the area we will stay here again. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Big Sky Camp and RV Park, Miles City, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place, very nice owner. Great WI-FI, level long pull throughs. We were not offered a site with sewer, those were all taken. But they have a dump near the entrance. Except for lack of shade, it was great for a one night stop. We camped at Big Sky Camp and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

BJ's Campground, Lusk, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground for 1 night. Power was out for about 3 hours due to lightning, they gave us $2 back for the inconvenience otherwise the rate would have been $32. A bit pricey but not much of a choice in eastern Wyoming. We camped at BJ's Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Indian Springs Ranch Campground, Penrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I have camped at this campground several times over the past 15 years. It is as the sign at the entrance says: "Quiet, Rustic, Unique". Since it is about 6 miles from the highway it is so quiet at times all you hear are the hummingbirds. It is dry and can be dusty. The sites are not level but not so bad that a board or 2 on the downhill side won't fix. The tent sites are separate from the RV sites and have lots of space. The swimming pool is very refreshing and clean. The showers are being upgraded now. One drawback is a few long term RVs that are rather old. If you dislike crowded campgrounds right on the highway, this place is a nice break from that. We will camp here again. We camped at Indian Springs Ranch Campground in a Motorhome.

Steamboat Lake State Park, Clark, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Great views but no trees! OK, a couple of sites had some trees left, but most have been cut down due to pine beetle damage. However, the views are great! Sites are level, camp host was friendly. We camped the few days prior to the 4th of July weekend and our small loop with electric was empty except for us most of the time, which was nice and peaceful. But it was booked full for the holiday weekend. We will camp here again in a couple of years so the area has had time to heal from the logging. We camped at Steamboat Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Elk Creek Campground, Grand Lake, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground close to town and Rocky Mountain National Park. Very friendly staff. A bit of overgrowth of grass around campsite and some standing water. But good shade and level site. Could not get Wi-Fi at our site. Limited sites for large trailers & 5th wheels. We camped at Elk Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Raton Pass Camp and Cafe (Formerly Cedar Rail), Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Great view! Nice small campground at the top of Raton Pass. We stayed just one night and only a handful of other rigs here. Quiet place but we didn't get to do or see much as it rained all night and was foggy in the morning. But a good place to stop along I-25, especially since reviews for most other campgrounds in Raton are not as good. We camped at Raton Pass Camp and Cafe (Formerly Cedar Rail) in a Travel Trailer.

Rancho Sedona RV Park, Sedona, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park close to the center of town. Lots of shade and nice sites with concrete patios. Our streamside site was close to the stream but you could not see it from the site. Staff was okay but not as friendly as other hosts on our trip. And the price is on the high side. However, we would probably stay here again. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Aside from the wind this park was very nice being out in the desert. The sites were big and level. There are a few trees but not much shade. The bathrooms are very nice, private bathrooms complete with shower. The hosts were very friendly and recommended touring the Meteor crater. I also recommend having dinner at the Turquoise Room in the historic La Posada Hotel in Winslow, the food was fabulous. I would stay here again. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly hosts, nice level sites, but limited privacy. Still a good place to stay for a night. WiFi was good once I got connected, which took a while. Some noise from the trains, but not bad, far enough off highway to not be a problem. Would stay here again. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
