Evidently things have not changed here in the last couple of years. The host was nice and guided us to our site. The park is flat, parking lot type. However, the road is very rough and there are weeds throughout the park. There are junk cars, a school bus, and dilapidated RVs around the park. This park does have 50 amp service, water, and sewer. The laundry room, bathroom, and showers were clean. Wi-fi was OK, slow but no more than usual from what we have experienced at most Alaskan RV parks. Rate reflects GS discount.

We stayed at this park over a July weekend while attending a “wine trail”. This was not our first time to Hermann but it was our first time to camp in this park. We found the park to be very clean, easy to get to, and quiet. This is not a resort campground but it is a great park for visiting Hermann and the surrounding area. This park has four levels of camping. Full hook-up which is really the only area with “camp sites”, this area also has steel rim fire pits ($30); Electric and Water which is in a parking lot near the swimming pool ($25); Electric only which is a grassy field with electric outlets but no specific site markings/boundaries, there are some fire pits in this area ($20) ; and boon-docking or no hookups which is in the same field as the electric only, there are some grills in this area ($15). One winery is within walking distance (about .4 miles), assuming you have not had too much wine. Other wineries, a micro-brewery and downtown are a short drive. Diesel is close. We plan to stay at this park again. Reservations are made my calling the city office.

The park has electric and primitive sites. Electric connections are 50 amps and 30 amps. Many sites can be reserved but some are available on a first-come-first-served basis. The hosts were helpful in getting us a site. The campground was crowed but most sites have plenty of room, all have a nice fairly level concrete, fire pit with grill, and a post for lantern. Firewood is available near the dumpsite. The main showers and restrooms were clean, we did not use the outhouses positioned farther from the camp center. The pool is for the park and not in the camping area. The campground was clean and enjoyable. We would like to visit again.
