Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Safe, secure place to stay: south end of town. We have stayed here about once a year for the past 10 years, and have a favorite site now with green grass for our old dog. Noise from freeway and surrounding area, however for being in a large town, cannot get away from it. Pool and clubhouse is quite nice. Laundry was convenient and clean. Must park your tow vehicle off the interior streets or you will get a "nasty gram" on your car from security. Will stay here again because it is convenient to outlet shopping and southern casinos. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Valley of Fire State Park, Overton, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Ah, our absolute favorite place to stay in Nevada. As Senior Nevada residents we bought a yearly pass that allows us free entrance and free camping. Only paid $10 a night for hookups. Came in Saturday of long veterans day weekend and all the signs said campground FULL. Drove through anyway and found someone leaving in our FAVORITE SITE. Right up against the red rock and so quiet. We camped at Valley of Fire State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

R-Place RV Park, Ash Springs, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here specifically because we love the hot springs across the street. However, some stupid idiot vandalized the site and now its closed. Anyway great weather here the week before Thanksgiving and we enjoyed the sunset for the one night we stayed. Sites are basically a parking lot with electric and water. Lots of other overnighters here. We camped at R-Place RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeside Casino & RV Park , Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is an awesome park. An oasis in the middle of nothing. In fact, it always amazes me that this park is in the middle of a residential area. We have stayed here alot. It's our stopping spot on the way to Arizona to see our kids. Well kept up and comfortable spots. We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

They offered a Nevada locals discount. Pay for first night, get second night free. We opted for the deluxe site and glad we did. We were very close to the pool and had a nice strip of grass at our site for the dog. This is a RV resort and not our normal campground. OK for being in the city. Close to the outlet mall on Las Vegas Blvd and about 2 miles south of the strip. Lots of freeway noise. No access to turn left when leaving the resort (part of the reason we stayed here was we were enroute to Pahrump via the Blue Diamond Hwy - same street this resort is on). We turned right and had to find a large shopping center parking lot to turn around to head west on Blue Diamond. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Valley of Fire State Park, Overton, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We absolutely love this campground. This is our 5th time here. They have added a new loop with extra large (enough space for two rigs - side by side) spaces with electric and water hook ups. Nice and dark at night and very quiet. Hard to get into because of Easter vacation. The only drawback was the trash truck that arrived before dawn to empty the dumpster. It's first come, first serve for spaces and although the ranger said no "saving" spaces, we saw alot of people doing it for others coming in later in the day. We camped at Valley of Fire State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Echo Bay - Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Overton, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

OK spot for one overnight. We wanted into Valley of Fire, however, due to Easter vacation was full. Went thru alot of road construction to get there. Some trees and level sites. Not our destination, however, OK for a backup. We camped at Echo Bay - Lake Mead National Recreation Area in a Motorhome.
