La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Camped here for the races. Beautiful campground. Decent size campsites. Very nice and clean laundry. Store was sub par: nothing in it and internet was atrocious. One of the worst internet systems we have experienced. Surprised since everything else here was so nice. We camped at La Hacienda RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed on a pull through site. It was a little small. Should have requested a deluxe pull through. They were very spacious. We arrived after hours and just did not feel like moving after we had already setup. They did offer to move us when we checked in in the morning. They were so kind and gracious. Amazing that the owner has owned and worked at this KOA for almost 50 years. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Camelot RV Park, Malabar, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

No Store. Could not buy ice. Brand new pool. Assembling pool furniture during our visit. Campground also has many mobile homes. We have found this many times with Florida Campgrounds. It appears they are trying to get rid of them as there were concrete pads for RV's in the mobile home section. This is a gated park. Very clean. Nice laundry and bathrooms. Many snowbirds. Appears to be mostly a long term stay park in the winter. We stayed in a very small and narrow pull through. Wi-Fi was very slow but park was very full. We camped at Camelot RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

New Green Acres RV Park , Walterboro, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Site was very spacious. Old electric with weak amperage and did not have a GFI outlet. Wi-Fi was slow but usable. No store. Could not even buy a bag of ice. Very pleasant staff. Odd dog park setup in an old mini golf course area. However, my dogs had fun in it. Would stay again. Quick stop off of I-95. There is highway noise especially at night. We camped at New Green Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean Campground. Close to Wash DC and good stop over traveling on I-95. Pull through sites are not level. Stayed here three times. Have had to use several leveling boards everytime. Cable does not work either. Internet is weak but useable. Would probaly not stay here except for the parks location. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Saugerties / Woodstock KOA, Saugerties, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Park looked like the grass had not been mowed in weeks. They did not even move things to mow. Grass was very high under rental bikes. Store was filthy and dirty with very high priced merchandise. I would not camp here again. Sorry I tried it. Moving to another place tomorrow. We camped at Saugerties / Woodstock KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Cooperstown Shadow Brook Campground, Cooperstown, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

New owners this season. Very friendly. Park is very nice and well maintained. Small family campground. We picked this campground as it had the highest Woodall's rating in the area. Sites on the smaller side. Not many full hookup sites. Had no difficulties getting one at this time of year. Close to Baseball Hall of Fame. We camped at Cooperstown Shadow Brook Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is under new ownership and a new conversion to KOA. This was their opening weekend. You can tell they have done a lot of work, but they still have a fair amount to do. Really friendly helpful staff. Really liked the new modular bathhouse and we had a great time playing family kickball. They had super planned activities. We camped at Copake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Looked at the park as a possible campground to spend the summer in NY. Immaculate. Nice large sites. Staff very friendly and helpful.
