Santa Rosa RV Resort, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $98.00
Overall Rating:

We had a waterfront site, a little more than halfway down from the pool. Beautiful landscaping at the site and around the park. Wonderful, caring staff. If there were any negatives at all, I'd say the pool was full beyond comfort with kids a few times. But that's just me. The only kid I travel with now is my 20 year old son, and he's as laid back as I am. I agree with other reviewers who said back row sites get a lot of road noise. We heard sirens literally every night. But that was only while we walked the dog by those sites. For the most part it was a quiet, beautiful park with friendly fellow RVers. We're looking forward to returning. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Juana's just across the bridge on Navarre Beach is decent for having lunch in a beachy atmosphere. We found ourselves going in to Pensacola Beach (about a 45 minute drive) for dining a few times because there isn't much of quality dining in the area. The Twist just up the road (and across the road) from the RV resort is a great ice cream shop. Be sure to seek it out!

Live Oak Landing, Freeport, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean, modern restrooms, friendly, helpful staff. Internal roads are wide enough for big rigs with no turns too tight. Wi-Fi slow and disconnects as soon as your device (laptop, iPad, etc.) is turned off. Must log in with password repeatedly. Pool is tiny. Some of the cable channels were fuzzy. The campground is selling off their RV sites for cottages to be built. The map on their website is not accurate; because of this and you may find yourself camping between two cottages. We camped at Live Oak Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

North Bend Park COE, Boydton, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

I wanted to like this campground, but it was too removed from anything. It's a minimum of a half an hour to get groceries, pharmacy, or anything. The hosts were friendly and the park rangers were a constant presence (which was fine). This is a heavily wooded park. No grassy spaces anywhere and sites were gravel. Cell service (AT&T) would come and go, mostly go. We will not return. We camped at North Bend Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

This was more of a 9.5 rating. I would have given a 10, but some wear is beginning to show on little things, like the tennis courts need resurfacing and the wooden directional signs in the park need repainting. Having said that, overall this RV Resort is beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful and the sites are all big enough for our 40' fifth wheel. As other reviewers have stated, upon check in you are given a golf cart and you pick your own site, which helps both with your satisfaction, and is a great incentive for the site owners to maintain their site: ugly site means no rental income. They have added more WiFi spots and will give you a map and hand write in where the hot spots are if WiFi is important to you. We will definitely return. We camped at Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.
