Kalyumet Campground, Lucinda, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Went for Civil War Re-enactment. Won't go back. Park employees do not enforce any of the rules they list. Dogs are left alone in campers all day to bark, and kids are riding their bikes after dark. So glad no child was hit because no one drives the 7 mile an hour speed limit. Park staff was told about a dog that had a woman and her dog on the ground and the staff never bothered to do anything about it. Boy Scouts were camped there this weekend and you could not ask for better kids. Too bad the ones running around at 11:30pm weren't as good. We camped at Kalyumet Campground in a Motorhome.

Ferryboat Campsites, Liverpool, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

One of the worst campgrounds we have ever been too. Travel with 3 other campers. Made reservations and were told we would only fit in these few sites. When we first arrived it took almost an hour for us to check in. Each of our sites was so narrow we could not put out our awning. As we were walking around, we noticed much larger sites were empty all weekend. The smell from the sewage was so overwhelming, many times you could not go out side. I have to wonder if the Health Department shouldn't be involved.

We have all the discount cards and were told they didn't take them. Also when we arrived, we were told how to log on to the internet. When it didn't work, we were then told they didn't have internet in our area. We had camped at here a few years back and it was run so much better. I see here that there are new owner. That explains a lot. Avoid this campground at all costs. We camped at Ferryboat Campsites in a Motorhome.

Villager RV Park, Wildwood, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Nice quiet place. We stayed for a week and extended for a couple more days. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Television was very good and they have excellent Wi-Fi. Did laundry and their prices were very reasonable, $1.25 for a large load and .50 to dry. Large sites with nice roads. Reason why they didn't get a ten was because they have no pool. Very nice campground and would stay here again. We camped at Villager RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a campground that is one to come back to. This place is very easy to get to. Right off 85 but you hear no traffic. Large and level sites. Excellent WiFi and television. Very friendly staff and other campers. Really nice place. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOA, Broadway, Virginia

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Park is very rustic and not meant for anything larger than 20 feet. Yes this park does have the long sites, but large rocks are at the edge of some of the sites and it is almost impossible to make a sharp turn. We had a hard time getting our motorhome and tow car into the site. Big boulders look nice but block a lot of the campsites. Was really worried about the road heading to the campground. Very narrow and winding. They advertise WiFi but is only available after 2 am and until 7am. Television is cable and all snowy. Bring bottled water because theirs is not the best. Staff was very friendly but had to wait for someone to show up to check us and other people in. Drive past this one if you can. We camped at Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Pope Haven Campground, Randolph, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Thought about trying to save some money and camp weekdays. Don't do it at this place. They give discounts only on the most expensive sites but you don't get to camp on them. A $28 site us Good Sam is $27. Sam with Passport. They say they have WiFi but only sometimes. Besides charging us a higher rate, they have pay showers too. I don't think our group will go back to this campground any time soon. We camped at Pope Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

Apache Family Campground & Pier, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here while passing through. Had stayed here in the past and had a problem with the messes dogs would leave every where. Glad to see they have a new policy, but saw they didn't enforce it. Seen many dog owners walk away when their dog finished their business. Ordered propane from the front desk when we checked in. We were told it would arrive between 11 and 1 the next day. Waited around till 2 and called the office. The truck had been delayed and would not be there till the next day. Even in the off season, the golf carts are everywhere. If you are out walking, get out of their way. Not sure if we will stay here again. We camped at Apache Family Campground & Pier in a Motorhome.

Kelly's RV Park, White Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped at this place on our way north. Stayed 3 days. The owners and other seasonal campers were so friendly, not like a lot of other campgrounds we have been to. Used their laundry and was surprised at how reasonable the price was to do laundry. Talked to many people who came for a week and now come back for the whole season. We will be back to this place. Great place! We camped at Kelly's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Candy Hill Campground, Winchester, Virginia

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I understand that winter camping is different, but if you offer it, at least plow out some area. We could not get out of our camper with out stepping into a snow bank. They only remove the snow where the camper sits and then pile the snow all around the site. We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

Made reservations a year in advance for certain sites as we camped with a group. Got there and the sites were rented to some one else. The power on these different sites were so bad you could not run your frig and air at the same time, let alone your microwave. Not ever going back there. We camped at Woodside Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is an in/out campground for someone traveling. As the other reviewer stated, this place is in need of some repair. Quite a few long term campers there. OK for the night but not for any length of time. We camped at Interstate Campground & RV Center in a Travel Trailer.

High Pines RV Park, Kane, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

New owners. The water is better but not great. The rabbits are fewer. The place was clean but very empty. Many permanents have moved out. They no longer have cable TV, so don't plan on watching it. Wi-Fi is hit or miss. It was out most of the time we were there. The pool is gone but the playgrounds look nice. Not sure if we will go back. We camped at High Pines RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
