Check-in was easy but not at all personal. We were told no personal golf carts but they can be rented. We went to our campsite and it was too tight to get in. With help from other campers we got in and got set up. Golf carts everywhere. The rules are you must be over 16 to drive carts. There were kids driving carts all over. They would not stop at signs and lower speeds were not a option for them. There was no parking for anything other than golf carts. We did not rent a cart due to price; this would have doubled the price of the stay. The beach was nice. The pool and slides were so full as you could barely move. The pool and slides are not large enough for the crowds it draws. And did I mention no parking for anything but golf carts? After dark they have concerts that we did not go to. The crowds were out the door. After everything closes the kids ride around the park on golf carts till 1:30-2:00 in the AM with radios blasting right outside. Don't get me wrong I have 2 kids that were with me on this trip but after 3 days they were ready to come home. We stayed 9. When complained about the carts and music; what we got was SORRY. The bad thing about the whole thing they don't seem to care enough about the park to enforce their own rules. The part of the park they call villas look to be in need of repair and some looked to be empty and run down. I will not be back! My kids 9 and 12 said the mountains are calling!

This was a free please buy our membership trip. We stayed 4 nights for free and did NOT buy a membership. It is a good location but park needs a lot of repair that they do have plans to do. The roads are gravel potholes. Most sites do not have sewer. The bath house was super nice! Each room has shower toilet and sink each is its own bathroom! nice and private. The sales pitch was not high pressure and the staff nice. This was just not our favor CG.

We made a trip from GA to PA and called when leaving PA to get a site. Even though it was a festival weekend he reserved the site for us. We arrived late and one of the owners waited up for us knowing we were coming. He was super nice showed us to the site and offered to help us set up. We asked about BBQ and he told us about Little Richards it was great. The fishing in the ponds are great over 3 days I caught about 60 bass small but fun! The kids had a blast at the playground and fishing with DAD. Nice location to town and shopping. Camp store is very limited but they can tell you where to get anything you want. 5 min. to Wal-Mart and food. This is a new campground and is still growing. Awesome week and we could not have asked for a better end to our trip! Bathrooms are a issue but can work with them. I would stay here above much others. Plenty of short day trips in the area. Pilot mountain, Mabury Mill on the blue ridge parkway, and the property is historic also. I would tell anyone to stay with them for a night or a week.

This campground and park is one of the nicest we have ever been to!!! The campground hosts are wonderful. They had a fire and singing on Saturday night that all the campers were drawn to, it was awesome. Sites are clean and wildlife is all around. Kids rode their bikes and played volley ball. Not to forget, there's a camping only playground. Has fire-rings, grills, with parking on gravel, concrete sites with no leveling needed! The only drawback, there are no sewage hookups. Had a great time and will be back often! Rangers are wonderful and the kids went to the Jr. Rangers camp for the week with a cookout and awards at the end. Camping with a education for the kids: nothing better and it gave Mom and Dad a chance to relax for a few hours a day. Can't say anything better. It is on a first come basis, so get here early. They also have golf and Geocaching in the park, along with a river with a sliding rock for great family fun. Fishing is great. Hint, use little pieces of hotdog as bait it works better than nasty worms for Dad and the kids. Happy camping!

Bald Mountain was a great campground with awsome things to do with our kids. The sites were all fairly level and clean. Some smaller than others but very comfortable. We had guests join us for one night and they were very accepting of them for $5.00 each per night so a total of an extra $10.00 for the one night. The cable was wonderful for the kids and yes it rained so that kept them busy. The kids also played in the creek at the back of the site and had a wonderful time. We will be back time and time again I am sure. One of the best sites I have been to in the past 5 years. Fishing in the ponds is free for campers. The putt putt is free and also great for all ages. Sites are pea gravel. Many permanent residents but very nice and polite.
