Park was recommended by friends who live nearby. I didn't read reviews here before we made reservation, but in reading them now, seem accurate. Owners are a bit crabby. We arrived at 5:50pm to find the store/office locked. I called the number I had for the park and was told "we're closed until 6:30." Not "your site number is...", just, "You'll have to wait." Well, we drove into town to find dinner. Overall it's a very nice campground, has a great playground for kids, good facilities and a lot to offer. Staff could have been friendlier. Nice concrete pads for each site with picnic tables, but some of the sites face each other. Could be good for group camping or bad if you don't know your neighbors!

LOVE this campground. Pituresque location, large sites, GREAT location right in the heart of the Black Hills. No highway noise despite being close to the main drag. Great playground, pool, and is on the George Mickelson bike trail. This was our second stay at this campground, would highly recommend it and will stay again! By far the best we saw in the area!

There is no real grass, more like poorly mowed weeds on each site. Staff was friendly. For the second year in a row we stayed and I've decided, never again! There is not a fire ring on each site, you have to ask if you want one. Playground equipment is in poor condition and a bit lacking! Sites are close together.

Some sites rather close. Playground equipment nice. Lake very Green with algae, not fit for swimming. Grounds are well kept, sites level.

I had to request a fire ring and was provided with an old washing machine drum that was difficult at best to start a fire in with the agitator present. The sites are very close together, and needed mowing. The staff was friendly and helpful however. The playground equipment old but functional. The pool looked nice but was too cold to use when we were there.

A great campground, one of the nicest we saw in the Black Hills area. Well maintained grounds and facilities. Pancake breakfast available for a small fee. The Ranch Camp was the area we stayed in and would recommend that as it is close to bathrooms/laundry and more private/shaded sites. Good amount of room between sites. A beautiful location. Wi-Fi is only available near the office area. Would definitely return and stay again!

Excellent park for families and pets! We were camped right by the newly updated playground equipment and our daughter had a blast! Sites are very private and well spaced. Would definitely return!!
