BLM - Big Pines Recreation Area, Yakima, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This park and recreation area is operated by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. The campground was completely reconstructed and paved last year. New fire pits, new tables and restrooms. The campground sites have paved pads and have separated paved pedestrian sidewalks, which were curbed and perfect for my toddlers to ride their bicycles on. Campground has plentiful river access and a nice sand ramp boat launch. Also a river viewing platform with rails is available. The scenery is breathtaking. Campground is open all year and is free with the exception of May 15th thru Labor Day Weekend. Cellular reception was great, and the campground has an emergency satellite phone mounted in the main information area. We camped at BLM - Big Pines Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Easton Resort, Easton, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I was truly disappointed with the Lake Easton RV Resort. Small, very tight, dirty, lots of weeds and mud-filled pot holes. From the appearance it seems the last serious investment in the park was some time ago! The freeway noise is deafening. I would not recommend this campground to anyone. We camped at Lake Easton Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Ellensburg KOA, Ellensburg, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and clean park. Very close to the Interstate, but because of location, the tree cover and the Yakima River; the park is very quiet. The sites are large and well designed. Very nice set-up, and a lovely park with lots of places to walk and lots of frontage on the Yakima River. We camped at Ellensburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.
