Boyd Lake State Park, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We spent 2 nights here as we were traveling through. The location worked well for us to visit friends and relatives. Fortunately they have 50 amp here as we had to run AC because of heat and campfires nearby. It worked out that we took a day to visit Rocky Mt. Nat'l Pk. Sites are asphalt and curved and not long enough for MH and toad to stay attached. Electric was fine; no sewer or water, restrooms and dump station nearby, many channels on broadcast tv, no wifi. Price high for limited utilities/ camping & daily fee, but typical of Co.state parks. We camped at Boyd Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Diamond Campground and RV Park, Woodland Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

One of our favorite RV Pks. They continue to improve the park. The staff was nice and the seasonal people were so friendly. The weather and temps. are great and the town has so much to offer for its size. Wifi worked great. We had a 40' MH and had no problem maneuvering the roads if you pay attention. We did have to move sites but only because we extended our stay and our first site had already been spoken for. We will come back here if in the area and can get reservations. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

M Lazy C Ranch, Lake George, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We loved our stay here. It reminded us of when we used to camp in our horse trailer and go trail riding on our horses which we no longer have. The owners and staff were very nice and made us feel welcome. No cell service and wifi was very weak to unavailable unless you go to another area. 30 amp W/E, no sewer. The biggest drawback for us is the 2-3 miles of one lane dirt road , while reasonably well maintained it was rough for a 40' MH. My wife drove car ahead so we would not meet another vehicle. We would return if we were in a horse trailer or a pull behind or fifth wheel but not in our rig. We camped at M Lazy C Ranch in a Motorhome.

Shady Grove Campground, Seibert, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Close to interstate but far enough away not to hear noise 2 blocks off paved road but smooth gravel roads. Passport America require a 2 night stay which we only needed one overnight but they recognized GS. The owners were very nice and showed us to our site. FHUs 50 amp & good wifi, on level site for our 40' MH with some shade but not crowded and we did not unhook our toad. This is what we desire for a overnight with a reasonable price. Easy pull in and out We would come back. We camped at Shady Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

Triple J RV Park, Russell, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

100 degrees and windy the day we pulled in so I asked for some shade and was shown to a site with trees beside that provided shade. The park was near the interstate, pull through without unhooking, on gravel, level, 50 amp, water, sewer, cable at a satisfactory rate for the location. We stayed 2 days because we had driven 3 days straight. We would stay here again. 40'MH with toad. We camped at Triple J RV Park in a Motorhome.

Texas T Campground, Cornersville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We have returned to this RVPark again as it it close to Interstate and located at a good stopping place for us. The wifi worked well for us, FHUs with cable, well maintained, easy access , good roads, well laid out. We had shade but there are open sites for those that need sat. The staff was nice and polite, the water pressure a bit low and we could hear traffic from hwy. outside but we stayed inside because of heat so were not bothered. We may very well return. We were in a 40' MH. We camped at Texas T Campground in a Motorhome.

Point Mallard Park, Decatur, Alabama

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

RV park set up primarily for use of the recreation & water park next to it. Our back-in site was fine, gravel, good FHUs and space next to rv for car. Neat, clean well maintained except for many low hanging branches on loop road and sites. We had to weave down the road to avoid branches scraping but otherwise a good park for us. We don't use restroom facilities as we have our own so N/A. Many permanent residents or seasonals that leave rv parked on site. ( Please don't use the term full-timers in place of permanent residents) We are full -timers because we left our house for an rv but we travel the USA & we don't park permanently. We would return. We camped at Point Mallard Park in a Motorhome.

Hoover RV Park, Hoover, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We have previously used this park and like it . We stopped by to see the changes and thought about staying here while in town. They have recently redone park and have since raised the rates tremendously $45/$275/$900. We won't be staying here. Other than repaving it. There are no real changes from it was before except the prices. No restrooms, paved parking lot, which would be fine with us since we are self contained and never use park facilities but is not good value . We camped at Hoover RV Park in a Motorhome.

Memphis South Campground & RV Park, Coldwater, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Conveniently located off I-55. The sites were level, on grass with a little gravel on wheel tracks. The pullthrough was long enough for MH and car also. FHUs were good as well as wifi doing well and spacing between rvs good. There was some noise from traffic because of close proximity to interstate . The access road was rather bumpy but efforts were obvious to fill holes with gravel. It would be well if owners would prune back bushes on access road as well as perimeter road. We would come back at PA rate but not at full rate. We were in a 40' MH with car. We camped at Memphis South Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

River Town Campground, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

I loved this park with the spacious sites and the well maintained roads. The managers keep the park neat and the occupants all have very neat here again as long as they stay that way. The only drawback that I experienced was the poor wifi service. The owners said the provider was coming by the next day to fix it. I do hope it improves . I disagree sites without clutter. I appreciate the reasonable rates and will visit with another reviewer that wanted concrete pads and was willing to pay much more for it. Please keep it as is and at same rate. The slight slope on the site was easily remedied by driving the front wheels up on 2x8s, (2 minute fix]. We did not use restrooms so can not comment on them. We were here in a 40" motor home for 1 night. We camped at River Town Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Vicksburg National Military Park was well worth seeing. The park ranger at the visitor center helped me find some information about a relative that fought in the civil war and was killed in this battle. The Military cemetery has the most civil war interments of any in the nation. The history of the battle here is fascinating.

Walnut RV Park, Vega, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A good stop for an overnight. FHUs all fine . I had no problem with wifi but my wife couldn't get on. Grass sites but long enough for our 40' MH and toad to stay connected and level. We don't use their restrooms, showers or laundry because we have our own. This is all we want or need for an overnight. If they could just turn down the wind, but that is what makes the wind generators go around. We camped at Walnut RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here 4 nights on Passport America rates. We had been driving a lot and my wife wanted to rest for a few days before continuing. This was the perfect place. Luxury sites with excellent wifi. The nice camphosts showed us all around. We used the exercise room, pool, hot tub, restrooms and showers. They were all immaculately clean and neat. The smoke smell and some meals were our only drawback. The BBQ ribs were not smoked (probably pressure cooked and baked with BBQ sauce added} tender but not BBQ. Surf and Turf buffet, surf all fried and roast beef over cooked ( well done) Coffee and Lattes and muffins as well as the pancakes were very good. Overall we were very pleased. We would come back here again. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Happy Camper RV Park, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This park is not beautiful but is functional. There were several RVs that were longer term residence but most were neat and people we met were friendly. The price is for Passport America rate. This park was good for an overnight but not a destination park. The FHUs were fine and wifi worked most of the time. There is road noise but we slept OK. We had to back our 40' MH out because the turn was too tight going forward out of the pull through site. We camped at Happy Camper RV Park in a Motorhome.

We came over Wolf Creek pass to the western side and were amazed at the the beauty of scenery with all the leaves in full color. The eastern side of the pass had already shed much of their leaves. It was the perfect time to be here with cool temps and less tourist traffic.
