Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground), Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Reservations for 4 nights but stayed only 3. Was able to get park to refund last night fee as we had to leave for an emergency. Sites are very close and parking of tow vehicle has to be done either directly in front of camper (if enough room) or on the side, leaving very little room for leisure. In our case, there was insufficient room to open the awning. No surprises though as I read about the campground before making reservations. Entrance to campground needs maintenance, sites need maintenance, etc. Welcome to the fiscal cutbacks on the National park service. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Brigham City / Perry South KOA, Brigham City, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

1 night stay 6/19/2015 in 30ft travel trailer. The site (41) was a pull thru but with site 42 directly behind, so you have to pull thru 42 to get to 41, which means site 42 has to back in. Cramped. Just passing thru, didn't plan on unhitching but had to unhitch because site was too un-level. We camped at Brigham City / Perry South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Hitch-N-Post Campground, Panguitch, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Brief visit to Bryce Canyon National park while traveling to Yellowstone NP. Park is in town and fit our needs for an overnight stay. The park was within a reasonable drive to Bryce Canyon NP. It's location in town was convenient to a grocery store as well as local restaurants. Not much available for amenities but had a nice laundry room and showers were hot and clean. I'd stay here again We camped at Hitch-N-Post Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Grocery shopping can be done on the route to Grand Canyon or back in the town of Williams. There are some roadside establishments that have some creative metal art in the form of full size horses, Cowboys and stage coaches. Worth the stop.

Hidden Lake RV Park, Ardmore, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

One night stay 6/25/15 while passing thru Oklahoma. Nice campground, friendly staff. Well stocked store that included a good selection of RV parts. Note, this campground has an emergency storm shelter. Right in tornado alley so good planning on their part. WiFi was good. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

WaKeeney KOA, WaKeeney, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Camped here 6/24/15 for one night. Pull thru site near rest rooms/shower. Nothing much else to say. Convenient for one overnight while traveling to another destination, which in our case, was returning back home to Georgia. WIFI was useless. Good signal, but so slow I couldn't even logon.

Site wasn't even close to being level front-back. We camped at WaKeeney KOA in a Travel Trailer.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 6/15/15. Friendly staff. Park was well organized, site was level and not crowded. After checking out and traveling about 45 miles we received a call that a park employee had retrieved a lost item from the picnic table ( diabetes meds and meter) left by my brother and was holding it in the office. We returned and retrieved the lost item .. quick action on their part ! We camped at American RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Talkeetna Camper Park, Talkeetna, Alaska

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff. Clean & Private showers ($3/7min). Rear of campground accesses Alaska railroad line and is short walk (100 yds) to depot. Some noise from 4-wheelers as this is a popular area for their use. Train noise was not too bad, but train whistle is used as freight trains pass. We camped at Talkeetna Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned), Denali National Park, Alaska

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is approximately 8 miles north of the Denali Park entrance after passing through small unincorporated town. Sites were level and unshaded. Showers were very clean and private. $3 for 5 minutes and hot water was plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. As this is early in the season, some maintenance was underway, such as sign repairs. Store / gift shop was not open as stock was not on-hand. We stayed two nights and I would stay again. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Motorhome.
