The Vineyards, Grapevine, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This park was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed at. The staff was exceptionally friendly. Gated for security. Held a flag raising and ceremony for veterans on Veterans Day. Provided coffee and snacks. Sites were level. Will definitely stay here again. We were here for 5 days. Wish they had access to cable TV, but otherwise was excellent. We camped at The Vineyards in a Travel Trailer.

Abilene KOA, Abilene, Texas

Entered site after hours. Set up trailer then realized there was no power from electric meter. Had to tear down and move to another site and set up again. Mentioned it to office personnel the next morning and their response was "yeah". Didn't say we are sorry, offer a discount or anything. We camped at Abilene KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Rio Bonito Cabin Resort & RV Park, Liberty Hill, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A great RV park: small, but quiet. Lots of space between sites. Staff and hosts were very friendly and responded immediately when I needed anything. River was flowing big time. You could kayak or float. They have cabins available for those who don't have RV's and a great area for people meeting as a group. Horseshoe pits, etc. We are going to try and have a family reunion at this location. We will go back again. We camped at Rio Bonito Cabin Resort & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sugar Pines RV Park, Cloudcroft, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Chose this campground because of what they offered even though their rates were considerably higher than other campgrounds in the area. Big mistake. The house next door and one a couple of houses down were occupied by people who were in some type of construction work. Junk vehicles, road equipment, lifts, etc. along with junk piled everywhere. Not scenic at all. Cable was fuzzy and no sound. Claimed they were within walking distance of shopping area. They were several miles from shopping. Only thing close was a restaurant and offices such as real estate, insurance, etc. No shops. Website very misleading. Would not go again. We camped at Sugar Pines RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
