I must first say that upon arrival my family and I were greeted by friendly staff. Because of the unusual thaw and warm weather the camp actually opened early this year and we enjoyed the camp's opening day. Being as such there were many things such as the indoor swimming pool not being open, lack of most store supplies and unavailability of the morning/evening food services that were just plain absent from the experience. In all fairness the staff notified me of the pool being closed still at the time of booking - so no surprises there. Could have used the Breakfast/dinner notification but hey we're camping right! I am not listing these items as a negative but as a matter of testimony as to how great this KOA is! Without these amenities I would still rate this site as one of the best KOA's I've been to. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN - kabin and bathrooms alike were immaculately clean (and this is coming from a military man). Lights were functional/heaters worked well/no bad smells/convenient restrooms (not too close or far away). We actually got what we paid for (which is rare today) and honestly cannot think of one thing that we would consider "disappointing". I usually expect to have something wrong with a stay at koa (light bulbs/ broke heater/ bugs/ uncleanliness/ smells in kabins/ marathon runs to bathrooms or so close you smell/hear the restroom traffic/ parking issues...you name it) but not this time! - My family will be back! We camped at Yellowstone Park / West Gate KOA in a Campground Cabin.
