This is a really nice park for adults. There's not a lot for kids to do, which was fine with us as our kids stayed home this trip. The beach is a short, 5 minute walk away. The sites are beautiful and private. We had a great time here. The only negatives are that it is close to Hwy 1, so there is freeway noise, and they were refurbishing some of the sites, so there was noise from power tools. This location is very close to Monterey and 17-mile drive, and we will definitely stay here again.

Over the Memorial Weekend we stayed in Gold Country Campground, in Pine Grove, CA. This is a beautiful, older campground that is going through many renovations. The roads are newly repaved, all of the buildings, including showers/restrooms, are redone, and the pool area has been refurbished. They just built a great splash park, and are replacing their mini-golf course. A new playground structure will be there in a couple of weeks. The Rec-Room was redone, and was busy all weekend with crafts and games for the kids. The staff was very nice and helpful, and they made sure that our whole family had a great time. It was great to see so much effort put into this campground, and we will definitely return this summer.
