Twin Lakes Camping Resort, Chocowinity, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed on Memorial Day and the park was packed! The park owners did an excellent job checking everyone it and leading us to our site. Their activities were great. Things in the camp store reasonably priced. Park was quiet at night, they really enforce quiet time. Bad part was only one bath house for all the campers. One stall was out of order the whole time (both men's and women's). No towels in dispensers. It is just inadequate for peak camping weekends. Otherwise, the campground was wonderful and we'd definitely go again. We camped at Twin Lakes Camping Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Myrtle Beach State Park, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park in maritime forest. Plenty of shade. Short walk to the beach. Excellent gift shop on pier. Easy to ride a bike, picnic on the beach, play sports in the open field. Bathrooms are typical of a SC State Park, very adequate & clean. Staff are very friendly and willing to work with us when our original reservation site wasn't what we hoped for. Location is wonderful for visiting Myrtle beach inexpensively. Highly recommend, but get reservations because this park fills up very fast. We camped at Myrtle Beach State Park in a Tent Trailer.
