Gold Trail RV Park, Clinton, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Nice RV Park on highway through town. They have a restaurant on site, and the owner cooks for you - good food. The owner is a great guy and likes to pull guest's leg a bit. Good food, quiet, nice park. We camped at Gold Trail RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Town RV Park - we went on 4th of July weekend while passing through, and got the next-to-last spot. Lots of people but quiet after 9 PM. Nothing overly fancy, but a good value. We camped at Coulee City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

City RV Park - very new and clean. Located back from the Snake River. Very quiet - some road noise from morning traffic about 1/2 mile distant. We camped at Heyburn Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Portal RV Resort and Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We came through Moab heading north from Florida and needed a place to stay to visit Arches NP, so we picked this Good Sam park from Trailer Life. It was a Jeep/Off-Road weekend - lots of people in Moab. No sites available with electric or water so we took a spot in a field for only $20 and reserved for the next day a full-hookup site for $32. When asked about the discrepancy between Trailer Life prices and what they charged, they said it was an "event" weekend. I asked them why they didn't spell this out in Trailer Life - no answer. I hate it when people gouge you like this. We will be sure to never stay here again. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
